Yes this will excruciatingly boring to 98% of you but I've been collecting the Commemorative 50P's for a while now and was wondering who else does and what coins you have ... I.E Olympic, Beatrix Potter , Paddington ones etc ..

Oh and if anyone has a Kew Gardens one .. I hate you

I did that for a while, but then I spent them.

Had a pretty good collection going.

Sure at some point I had a Kew Gardens coin without realising what I had.

I've got some, and I remember having the Kew one years ago before I started collecting them.

I have all kinds of them, plus £2 coins and two of the alphabet 10p pieces.

If you want to leave the Grandson something, buy the solid silver issues.Far fewer issued and more desirable on the secondary market.

I have chosen to ignore any values of coins since the very late 1990s.

I was given a £5 coin as change from a supermarket, but a few days later had to spend it to buy credit for the electricity meter.

It's just a keepsake, not an investment.

I won't give them to the other grandchildren because they wouldn't be interested in them.

I don’t collect 50 pence coins. However, I happen to have a 1983 ‘New Pence’ 2 pence coin.

I also have currency from several countries that no longer exist like East Germany’s ‘Ostmark’ and Yugoslavia’s Dinar or defunct currencies such as old Iranian Rials with the Shah’s image and Foreign Exchange Certificates (FECs) from China that were to be used by foreigners.
