Wolf Spider Attack

A man on a cruise ship visiting Marseille which is part of the French Riviera was bitten on the big toe by a wolf spider. Now these buggers are not poisonous but the spider laid hundreds of eggs inside the man's big toe. On return to the ship a bungling ships surgeon cut open the man's toe and literally hundreds of tiny spider hatchlings poured out but the doctor missed one. Weeks later on return to the UK the man visited his GP in discomfort to find the bugger literally eating his way out if his big toe. Now Tom is no fan of cruises and would avoid Marseille were these buggers are rife

Fucksake Tom, you may have unlocked a new nightmare. Thanks for that lol

I've never been a fan of cruises or spiders, now I'm terrified of incompetent medical professionals

I was waiting for a punchline then!

Wolf spiders live over here in the UK too!

Yes they can bite and its like a bee sting, but they rarely do unless threatened.

They DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT lay eggs into people.

Must be true if its on the news hey.. Haha

It lays its eggs in a silk egg sac, it doesn't have the capabilities to "inject" it's eggs into someone.

Flipping scare mongers.. Haha

London

Wolf spiders don't lay eggs in toes bc they need them to stay dry and carry them in sacs behind their backs.

My guess he injured his toe and left it to get infected and suffered the consequences. There's absolutely no reports from Drs or the hospitals that treated him bc they would all present the evidence.

The British Arachnological Society also called it "implausible".

Exactly. The fact that this has been reported on Sky news and a few of the tabloid websites doesn't make it a true story. We all know what the mass media is like
