Partied with friends in the past, wondering whether to visit a club on New Years Eve this year, what are you all planning?

I'll lie on my sofa watching fireworks go off along the coast then I'll go to bed. Hoping to have a successful evening of avoiding people - not a massive fan of the forced jollity of NYE.

Probably dancing around the lounge in my highland gear ready to go out first footing and getting smashed out of my box.

Gotta pick some coal up I suppose...

That's a good question... Last NYE I spent in Belfast was horrible. Everything empty, nothing going on. NO party at all. Heck, I didn't even hear or see ONE SINGULAR FIRECRACKER. Worst NYE ever.

Generally not a fan of NYE tho last year's at PP was a lot of fun! This year I'm thinking of jumping on a plane somewhere on 30th for a week or so to just forget about it

I can’t bloody stand New Year. It makes me feel sad for some reason, always has, even when I used to go out for it.

I think it’s the feeling that we are ticking time off our lives and if you’re not in a good head space it can make you feel a bit like time is running out.

Not that I’m overthinking it at all mind you

I know the feeling. My dad died on new years day 11 years ago so I'm always reminiscing on new years

Our turn with our kids this year.

Last year we were in a club. C went to the toilet and then they countdown started. I was in a dungeon by myself at the stroke of midnight…

We don’t wear watches and you can’t have phones on you in clubs - plus blindfolds and restraint play - yeah silly us for not checking the time every 2 mins!

But you’re right - Midnight is unpredictable she’s chatting to us one min, the next she doesn’t

I haven't any plans. I'll likely see my parents on New Year's Eve day and then spend the night watching movies or TV. Mum would usually call me at 12, so I'll make sure I'm up for her call and then I'll probably go to be shortly after

If you fancy something wild there is a big house party in Southend that night being advertised. Probably going to bring in the New Year with a bang

In the day we usually go to the cinema. Think in the evening we will stay in to make sure the dogs are ok. Have a nice meal, play a game.

I spend all year embracing my 'esprit de youth' (sic) and feeling younger than my true age, and then on New Year's Eve I'm at home feeling oldish whilst my nieces and nephews are gigging it, clubbing it or cocktail-bar'ing it!
