I think beef is my favourite, must include cauliflower cheese though!! And Yorkshire puddings.

Do you stop having a roast a few weeks before Xmas so you enjoy your Xmas dinner more? Just me??

Not just you - though more of a time thing as xmas draws closer... all that last minute shopping eats into the weekends amd the takeaways take over!

Hard to beat a roadt chicken - I do like a silverside roast, but beef can be a bit dry... and dont forget the pigs in blankets!

I’ve not made a roast for ages, and especially beef.

I think I might do a beef this year, and always Yorkshire puddings.

You need to put beef in a slow cooker.

Juicy.

I fuckin love a roast meat n veg lunch. I refuse to stop eating them in the build up to the big day. What I prefer to do is break the norms of tradition and have a different meal for Christmas lunch instead.

This time round, I plan to be very lazy, sleep in all morning, and have a massive cooked breakfast for lunch.

Carlisle usually

I'm not much of a roast girl. But it always used to be a nice bit of beef for Christmas.

And I like seeing when usually rational people do the denial and build up thing for something they enjoy

I love a really good roast dinner. Not overcooked veg, soggy roast potatoes, overcooked meat. But, I've not had one in ages. So I think I'll just wait until Christmas now. In the interim I'll probably make the odd roast dinner baguette. A little nod.

Paper Town Central, Essex.

I've a roast dinner.

I love cooking a roast dinner.

My fledglings come over every Sunday for their roast dinner (or at least try to).

Unfortunately, I'm the only one that likes cauliflower cheese so it's rare I get to do it.

raven, you can come over anytime and we'll do some roasting together and enjoy the cauliflower cheese.

Ooh yeah! Roast dinners are the best! Beef or lamb. Slow roasted with roasted potatoes and real Yorkshire puddings. Not had one in ages and might not now until Christmas day

I have one, but this year it will be a plate full of bacon, sausage, and all of those banging brekky items we all know n love. In fact, as a nod to the Christmas dinner, I’ll make giant pigs in blankets. More room on the plate for the other stuff.

I’ve not thought it through much……honest

I don't have a roast often enough to need to ration. I can cope with ALL the turkey and use Christmas to build up my annual quota of roast dinners for the year.
