I have eaten in several countries. Plus several version's of being served . I like the one served in shells with garlic butter. So for me the best ones I have eaten are ones in France and Germany

They do a nice casserolle version with shallots and wine and that is nice too.

I did try them a few years ago.

I can only describe them as bogeys wearing crash helmets swimming in a strong garlic pool which you can taste for 2 days afterwards.

But the frogs legs were really surprisingly fantastic .

Not keen on them cooked with yoo much garlic to be honest. I prefer them in other ways I had them in Portugal, Spain and Greece. My favourite was a tomato rissoto I had.

I've never tries them yet I love cockles, walks, winkles and oysters and class etc. The hotel I used to work in served them in garlic butter

Damn now my dreams are going to change from eating a nice fatty steak to Escargots.

About 20 years ago you could get Escargots with a Dab of Garlic Butter to cook in the oven. I reckon I had those at least 4 times a week. Struggling to find them anywhere now.
