Love it, dished up with a mashed spud mountain, bacon and onion loaded gravy, carrots, and some dippy bread.

My nan used to make it for us and I hated it. Been years since I've tried or even thought of it, maybe I will soon.

Tonypandy.

Yeah, love the stuff. Pan fried in butter with a little fresh sage and served with mash, caramelized red onion and a nice gravy made from the juices.

Norwich

Fresh shallow fried pork liver with crushed garlic on it.

Fresh = Straight out of the pig

I wasn't the butcher.

Just held the legs and feeling sorry for the poor pig.

Until the fresh liver and meat for breakfast at 8 in the morning.

The whole process started at 4 in the morning and finished at 8 in the evening. Once a year per family. You obviously needed to return the favor or pay.

I was attending to 3-4 on some winter in my early teenage years.

Pate isn't exactly wartime rations.

Paper Town Central, Essex.

Lambs liver braised in white wine with escallions and chanterelle, leak mash and sweet baby carrots.

A light dusting of grated white truffle.

I'm no chef but I do like to cook..

I'm doing it in the slow cooker. Layer of onions, liver then bacon then.liver, onion and bacon and topped of with more onions and loads of thick gravy. If I put it on high should take about 5 hrs. I've got loads though at least three portions so I will freeze some
