Obviously I'm looking for great sex, isn't everyone, but I'm looking for more than just that. I'm looking for a friend, a lover, a partner who will accept me for the person I am (oversexed, accepting of a swinging lifestyle).

Am I deluding myself looking on here, would I be better off on a dating site?

What's everyone's experience and opinion?

If it is to be found here it would probably be a natural progression from fwb to a relationship. Dating sites are probably better if you want something more meaningful from the get go.

Thank you Racy. I think it would work better developing from on here, as then you would know about open attitudes to sex from the get go, and hence can feel totally open and authentic from the start

I think there should be an option to filter by one off / ONS, FWB or partner! Maybe something for Fab to think about.

There is also an app which is halfway between this and a vanilla dating site - not sure if I’ll be told off if I share the name. You could try that

You’re not deluding yourself looking here but you may take a while finding that here.

It can happen. People have met a friend, lover, partner off here with long term success.

On the flipside of all this is when a guy is supposedly looking for just sex , but begins to fixate on the woman. We had one guy where his wife literally hasn't touched him in 5 years (hugs, let alone sex!) and he began to see me as a surrogate wife, which become a little uncomfortable.

With that, also became increasingly uncomfortable with my husband watching events, and asked if he could not be in the same house when we're having sex. Keep in mind that this wasn't as part of cuckolding or any such play, so I really don't like the thought of him being excluded, especially when everyone agreed that he was to be there in a safeguarding/voyeuristic capacity.

It's now obvious that he wanted more than just sex, but he should have made it clear from the outset, rather than trying to edge his way between myself and my husband.

The problem with dating sites is that you are meeting women who are not as liberated. Starting out with “I enjoy the Lifestyle” is the honest approach which will get you zero dates.
