How do you take yours? If the thought "I want a coffee" pops into your head, what does that entail and what is the end result?

Morning

Milk and 2 sweeteners as long as it doesn't look like a cup of milk I'm not actually that fussy how it comes.

I love filter coffee though and that I can take pretty strong.

Morning LL. that’s just how I like mine. Usually I just pour the coffee in until it looks like there is enough in there but today I used a spoon for some strange reason. Out the door and in the car before I tried it and I was very disappointed.

Thank you I wish you the same

No milk for me. I do grind and strain my coffee at work and it does come stronger. I’m looking forward to my first work coffee this morning

Thing I learnt when making a coffee that doesn’t taste as you wanted it.. throw it away and start again. Don’t add to the mix

Dubai & Nottingham

At the moment, I’m just putting some ground coffee into a cafetiere, adding off the boil water, leaving for four minutes, pouring with a bit of skim milk, and a tiny bit of brown sugar

.

In a well seasoned mug.

No, I don't really drink coffee first thing. Mid morning I might make a mocha but most days I try to go caffeine free.

Anything pre 10am is a heaped tablespoon of instant coffee (yes instant!) and a tiny amount of milk.

Anything after that needs to be seasonally flavoured with cream.

I fire up my coffee machine. 2 large espresso later, I'm ready to take on another two.

Then I'm ready to face the world.

Crap coffee would upset me.

A quick instant during the week.

On the weekend freshly ground and filtered.

Lots of milk with it. +/- sweetener depending on how I feel.

If we fancy a coffee at home it's hot, strong and d*unk with a pastry of some sort.

If we decide to go out it's also hot and strong d*unk at an outside table (weather permitting) at an independent owned by an Italian family

High Lighthouse!

I've a moka pot, so it's a bit of a ritual to make my morning coffee.

At the moment I am "ruining" it by putting some lovely chai latte mix from Lidl in it.

Good morning! I looks like weighing out my coffee beans and grinding them to a dialled in size that I need, and then weighing out the water I need in my Clever Dripper and then adding the coffee and letting it brew for 2 minutes before placing it on top of my mug to release the brew.

The end result of weighing out the beans and the water, with the right grind size should result in a beautifully balanced cup of coffee

If that thought pops into my head, I immediately make a nice hot cup of tea, and have a sit- down until it goes away.
