This evening I received some rather exciting news about a social I'm attending (UpTheBrum). And it was pointed out to me .. I'm quite an excitable sort.

Do you feel emotions readily? Are you more calm and collected or do you happily Tigger about? What emotions do you feel most often?

I'm not really an emotional person. I do have emotions but they are dulled due to the amount of medication I take

I am the calm and collected sort, but the emotion I experience the most in real life is happiness, and I laugh a lot. But I don’t really get excited about much these days. Unless Thomas Pynchon announces one last novel. Then I will be excited xx

I am these days. That’s thanks to the medication I’m on for my anxiety. Prior to this I’d have been too busy thinking the worst to have got excited about anything!

I used to be quite easily excitable. People at work used to laugh/find it funny when I would get excited over the smallest things- like when we got a new seasonal option in the meal deals

But I’ve since upped my medications, and now I find myself not being able to feel that way anymore. Luckily it’s working to numb the bad feelings, but also the good ones too.

Travelling

For the most part, stoic. Internally I can feel the excitement, and joy of something to come, but the expression is reserved. I don't feel the push of excitement to manifest itself outwardly.

Its not a complete lack of visible excitement, but controlled.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I’m rather staid where outward expressions of emotion are concerned.

In other words, I always look like a miserable sod

Ach, how do you feel about that? It's good if it suppresses the bad, less so if the positive. But you can't really pick and choose sadly.

Happiness is a wonderful gift isn't it? Embracing the joys to be found in the world.

I shall have everything crossed that you're soon able to lose yourself in the writing of Pynchon once more. It might be a tall ask but stranger things have happened.

Carlisle usually

I'm quite a stoic person generally I think. If I demonstrate emotion and excitement it's generally somewhere private with someone I trust. The world at large only gets to see the calm and collected version of me.

But, I do get excited and tigger around when something brings me real joy, I just hold it in until I feel safe to do so

Boing boing boing! I have to be careful not to get so caught up in anticipation that the reality falls flat!

Yay Compy! You're going to have such a good time partying, have you added a song to the playlist yet? I'm staying over with some of my favourite people... just waiting on a new addition to confirm it.

Sometimes I could be a poker player with the excitement of something but my face not show anything. That’s usually reserved for work zoom calls when they ask what I got up to at the weekend and I say ‘nothing much’ when I’ve had two women cumming all over my face

But on here I can show excitement or roll eyes as I don’t need to hide anything

I'm not really sure how I feel. As I said I do feel emotions just not strong emotions. I've been on medication since I was 13 so don't really know any other way

I’m so easily excited about happy things. Like a big puppy.

But for emergencies & working life I’m cool, calm & collected.

I'm mentioned before on here that I suffer from anhedonia which I won't try and explain as there are different degrees of it.

As a direct result I don't have nervous anticipation or get excited and even post event there are rarely any lasting effects.

I can only be present in the moment and enjoy what I can.

Usually it's pretty instant with me, and my face will tell you exactly how I'm feeling.

It takes quite a bit to get me excited, usually seeing people I don't get to see so often any more... And that brings me the most joy. Especially my favourite boy, can't wait to see him at Christmas.

I’m an inwardly excited person, that’ll be dancing a jig in my head.

Outwardly, I might muster a “yay” at best.

I get very excitable about certain things and I have been known to make squeaks of excitement on seeing cute things in shops for example.
