"Bit of both. I won't buy things on credit any more after dragging myself out of debt, but I didn't have the spare cash to buy my house so am borrowing for that! " i dont think a house counts, i mean how many people do have the money to buy a house out right? getting a morgane is just part of life, for me credit is getting a loan to pay for a hoilday or buying a huge TV and surround sound we cant really afford but want anyway

"I have always done without until I had saved the money. I bought my 1st thing on credit two years ago. I only did that because it was interest free. " Was it a onesie? And why was no-one interested?

"I really wonder how many people have become more careful with spending on credit cards since the recession. " Without giving too much away, this question is relevant to my job, and I can definitely say people are much less willing to borrow than they were. In particular the old "remortgage to pay off the cards, then rack up the debts again" routine has pretty much ended. Thank god. Might have to get a loan out soon so I can try my first club night though!
