.

I'm not alone this year but will be next year. I quite like being alone for Christmas, though this year I am glad someone is with me as it will be a tough one.

Christmas Day is always a tough day for me so I strive to be alone and decline offers where I would need to pretend to be ok.

In the clouds

Not a fan of Christmas, go through the motions for my sons, in the hope when they're adults they'll be better at it.

Just me and my 2 sons for Christmas. Same as most years and days lol

I lost my 6 month old daughter on Xmas day 19 yrs ago this year .. and it doesn’t get any easier.

For years I went through the motions as my son was primary school aged at the time, but now he no longer needs me to do that. He goes and spends the day with his gf and her family leaving me at home with the dog in my pjs with my cheese on toast.

No pitying looks, no head tilts and people asking if I’m ok and me having to pretend all is ok

I can’t begin to imagine what that is like or find any words that would even begin to be adequate.

It will be myself and my daughter. Our second Christmas since my wife passed away, so although I do all our traditional Christmas things, it will be sad.

I miss her so very much.

Bristol.

I have been trying to work out why I am not so keen on Xmas day and have such a strong resistance to it..No idea!

I will be on my own at Xmas, my personal choice and will have my own kind of Xmas around New year with my younger Son and my grandson..
