If someone does something to piss you off...

Is it their fault...

Or your fault for letting them piss you off?

It depends on the circumstances.

If the person involved in the pissing off a good friend who knows you well, then it their fault as they should know better.

If the person is just an aquaintance, then you shouldn't let it get to you, they just don't better!

In Your Bush

What if you don't let them but they do it anyway?

We should have some Fab stocks where we can lock up the days most deserving, and pelt them with trifle !

I will volunteer first

We are responsible for our own emotions etc - but in reality it's always someone elses fault!

Ooh yes!! People have to take responsibility for themselves.

(Everyone except me)

if its someone that knows you well and knows which buttons to press then its there fault. If it someone you dont know that well then you shouldnt let them. There is one thing on here that really really pisses me off and someone got to find out about it lol

I really think that I "allow" somebody to make me angry or upset. Or at least I allow the feeling to continue beyond the point at which I recognise what it is about.

"They" may have a responsibility... but it is up to me to allow things to upset or not as the case may be?

I cannot (ever) control other people's behaviours - but I can choose how I respond to them.

it depends whether it is intentional or not, some of my actions may piss people off and vice versa, but it isn't intentional.

if the person pissed you off on purpose then it is their fault, if someone did something they would normally do and it only pissed you off, then it's your fault for letting it get to you.

But even if the person pissed you off on purpose... you have the choice of not responding, not taking it on... and putting it down as their problem?

So so true. I am a great believer in taking responsibility for my actions, my life, my health, my kids, my pension, my spending habits etc.

Ok, shit happens sometimes and then we adjust but overall I believe in looking at myself first when things dont go to plan!

Ooh don't get me started on responsibility! It's my biggest peeve. All that sue the world because you fell over your own feet stuff.

Warning may be hot!! -on a cup of coffee ffs!!!

P.S. It wasn't my fault so no need to blame me.

Yes, I get your point. I am not saying I dont ever get angry. I do!

But after that initial angry feeling I stand back and I wonder what triggered it... and then in most cases I know it is more about the other person than me. So I (figuratively speaking)hand it back to them by either telling them "Look can we talk about this some other time perhaps" or if I think it was a deliberate attempt I would ignore it.

I work in a complaints team for a bank and the amount of people that complain about nothing is staggering.

Although it's keeping me and thousands of other people in a job so I'm not complaining
