Get your minds out of the gutter,

I’m talking about beetroot burgers, anyone tried making them. I’m on my second variation of them, very tasty, still need to tweak recipe.

We are exploring a lot of home made food to cut out all the processed crap

The latest ones are waiting in the Fridge for our post naughty session meal.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I'm not into beetroot.

I've been enjoying vegan sausages, though

What was the issue with the other recipe?

I find the beetroot hold better if you add some almond flour together to the mixed to get the to hold together. I also love experimenting with my cooking.

Lina.

Try pulled BBQ aubergine & black bean burgers as well if you’re not having meat

The first recipe was like a nice big bahji, which was nice. So wanted to play with texture more than taste.

Chippenham Malmesbury area

I always forget when I've eaten beetroot and panic like mad when I see that my poop is red the next day.

If you bake the beans and veg first it tends to stop the burger being soggy

Not had a burger made of beetroot, but I found in Australia they often add beetroot like they would onions or pickles. Was really nice

A 'burger with the lot' is beef, (regular veg - onion, tomato, etc), cheese, bacon, beetroot, pineapple, fried egg, tomato or barbecue sauce
