So as a scorpio I celebrated birthday in November. I notice more and more people have already decorated their house for the xmas jollies. I refuse to put my tree up until the month is over.

Do you feel that it is taking away the festive joy out of Christmas having your decorations up too early?

I would say it is a bit too early to think festive. But as my daughter is making wreaths I have -from about twenty minutes ago - now got one hanging on my front door! Tree and other decorations can wait until December.

Christmas now officially starts at 1 second after 31st October and that's when Cafe Nero puts up it's Christmas tree. I've sadly analysed this for the past 13 years.

We don't put our decorations up until the weekend before Christmas. If other people want to that's fine by me we need all the joy we can get in the world. It's not really about Christ's Mass anyway

I won't even talk about it before mid December . I had to laugh when a local firm once had their Christmas party in last week of November citing venue booking problems .

If Christmas is a season of goodwill to all NO it's not too early.

I start around thw end of November sorting the Decs and getting some of the tins of chocs and biscuits, but i feel the spirit of Christmas has been to commercialised.

Because I find it starts too early. The excitement and build up is so drawn out. We are always looking ahead in life instead of enjoying the here and now.

After being in Brisbane for work last December and experiencing Christmas time in 34°C heat it really doesn’t bother me now. I just want to embrace the joy of it, no matter when it starts.

La la land

I don't think we need to rush through autumn and the beginning of winter. Those times of year are just as magical, we don't celebrate harvest festival the way we used to.

Mid winter is bleak and yes Christmas can bring some joy to the darkest tins of year. But with it being so early I think some of that benefit is lost when we need it most.
