They're almost teenagers. Where have the years gone?

I've watched it since the start too, can't believe the changes! My mum used to teach one of the mums on there so we've always watched it to see how they've got on

They are all so lovely: still innocent and yet they are fairly savvy.

You have to break up with your parents to become independent and it will be interesting to see how that unfolds.

I really love Ivo, Alex and their parents. They always seem so sensible and grounded. I hope they don't fall apart.

Looking at them I can't believe they are so mature, myself at that age I was still a child, I had no interest in makeup and clothes and couldn't even look a boy in the eye!

I'm sure they have their silly moments but I have noticed lots of mature young people at this age.

My goddaughter just turned 13, you'd think she was at least 5 years older to look at, not to mention her mindset, it's scary!

My nephew is twelve and his text message to me this morning could have been written by an adult having their plans changed because the children are ill. It did make me smile as he was totally in parent mode.

It's when the grandparents talk about the kids and technology.

The parents have realised that they given up things for the kids. I thought the woman that talked about not being a lawyer now came across as a selfish bitch. Seems really unhappy with things, I wondered if they will still be married the next time?

There was a programm on Radio 4 I think, couple weeks ago and a dad was describing how he was trying to comfort his 4 year old daughter over the loss of their family pet. Dad himself was very upset and was explaining the concepts of life and death while being a little emotional. His 4 year old daughter apparently said to him "Come on... Man up, princess!"

It is... and coming from a 4 year old? Whatever was she thinking.. when had she heard this being said. It was kind of funny listening to it on the readio but it is actually serious.

Why did you think that? I thought she has just hit that stage where she realised she had given up a lot in raising her children and family and now wanted to find something for herself.

Completely agree, either the mother or father must pretty much give up their career to raise a family, what's wrong with wanting to have something to call your own? Would you give up your livelihood to raise a family?

Quite honestly cannot see the point in having kids if you see it as a sacrifice.

Have em and enjoy them I say. I retired from my career when I had my kids but later stepped into an entirely new one.

Dunno why people fight life so hard.
