Green Fab Flags?

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

We see a lot of posts about what not to message, what annoys us etc. So how about a positive spin on it to brighten up hump day?

What are your green fab flags?

In a first message?

On a bio?

On a first meet (social)?

One of mine is signs of being both selective and intentional e.g. Expressing specific interests, kinks or desires on their bio.

When a woman contacts me and I can quickly glean from her opening message that she bears all the hallmarks of being able to handle a conversation better than most people can handle a cock, that's a p+sitive green flag for me.

Decent spelling is nice.

And seeing that someone knows how to press return and separate paragraphs.

(I get quite out of breath trying to read some of the endless run-on sentences in my inbox that don’t have any breaks or anywhere to pause for a second or anything …)

The ability to have a conversation online. I find many either ask me generic questions or it's really one sided. I find I loose interest really easily. Think there is an art to getting to know someone online.

In a profile, consistency with text, pics and veries.

In a message, the ability to speak to me as an equal rather than a number.

In person, they wouldn't have reached that point without any of the above.

How attentive a person is. If they remember something you mentioned half a dozen messages ago, then that's a sure sign they are genuine and interested in you as a person. Not just a piece of meat to be dallied with.

Bonus points if they are letting us know why they like playing with married couples.

Tasteful, varied and interesting pictures. A well written & informative profile bio. Bonus points for humour.

Messages wise. Make me laugh or find some common ground. Make an effort, use punctuation.

Leave me aching for more (this does not apply to subsequent meets )

This is a tough one though. Is it not two sided? Do general questions need to be asked to find a common interest?

Chinese Takeaway near you

-They have a friendly, inviting well written profile

-They can compose an interesting more than ‘one word message’

-They have recent & full length pictures (so you don’t feel catfished)

-Conversation flows naturally like you talking to a friend you’ve known for ages

-They put in as much effort/ show enthusiasm as you do in chatting & planning a meet

-They happy to FaceTime/ meet for social 1st (us blokes like to feel safe too with who we meeting).

To me there is a big difference between generic and general questions? Generic to me feels as though they have a set list of questions they ask. General is good if it's a starting point to see if you have things in common. Which you then use to ask further questions.

Oh absolutely agree with that.

I think it is more when they merely respond and don't ask anything you know it is all very one sided.

An articulate message is always good, regardless of length. And a veri from someone we know personally immediately confirms them as genuine, which although not necessarily a green flag, it means its definitely not red!

If the message is interesting then that's probably going to be the biggest green flag I can think of. I would be happy never getting a message again if it means I get to miss out on the "meet now" and "you're so cute" messages. Getting complimented has never been more depressing.
