From what I have seen there are various examples. Posting the same thread on multiple forums at the same time.

Posting multiple variations of the same thread or asking the same question in different forms at the same time.

Occasionally you see a bunch of bot accounts being created en mass. Usually variations on women's names as usernames and from varied geographic locations, all newly created, blank avatars, in quick succession.

Those are spammers.
