All over

Is it on or off at this particular moment? What is the outside temp where you are?

Mine is on @ 18°. Outside temp only 10° so was too cold for me. It has been on between 18° and 20° most days and the bill came out yesterday and it is going to be another shocking winter for many people I think esoecially if you can't cope with the cold, have conditions, babies elderly people in the house etc.

Solihull and Brentwood

12 degrees feels like 10 with a gale.

Not had the heating on yet. But as I'm off work. Currently under a blanket.

Ours isn't on at the moment because our main living rooms face south and it's very sunny today

Anyone working from home will struggle again as will people who are on low incomes. We will have the heating on less than we did in previous years too. People in receipt of state pension will get extra heating allowance and anyone over 80 (I think that's the age) will get £600 so hopefully they will be able to supplement what they already spend with that and only have to wear hat, coat and gloves inside for five months of the year.

It’s 13 degrees indoors and feeling a bit nippy. I’ll slip a blanket over if it gets unbearable.

Ours has been set to twenty degrees for the last month or so. We both work from home a lot so I'll be damned if we spend the day freezing

I have a computer running a 13900k and an RTX 4090. I have no need for heating. That computer heats my room perfectly. All I know is that the outside temperature is a bit cold and the inside temperature is really nice and warm.

I’m wearing a low cut top today and all my body heat is escaping via the cleavage even the cardigan isn’t cutting it.

Heating on only for an hour in morning and at night for now.

I never need main heating on in day. I've a portable electric one for home office if it's a really cold winter day though.

Next Door

Need to find a big spoon to keep me warm!!

Heating is on 17c, clicks in and out all the time. My daughter and I both work from home, we both want to be comfortable whole working. Also, washing is on a clothes horse infront of radiators drying.

We have moved away from heating out house in the traditional way using GAS )only using gas to cook. Our boiler died 2/3 years ago, went all electric in terms of wall mounted electric heaters and a log burner. Still expensive £325 per month.

Gas heating around £.40 per hour,

With various factors increasing that number.

Two months into running a diesel heater. Sept and Oct heating bill was approx £78...

Talking of heating, has anyone used any of those personal rechargeable devices like socks, lower back packs etc? If so, are any good?

It is still not enough.

Essentially essential things to our lives should be free. Especially when most of the companies owners are investment bankers making a profit. I know it is how it is but I believe heating, water, electric are essentiall for living.

Heating is on 20. I refuse to let my child be cold no matter how much it's costing.

Outside....not sure but it's a ridiculously cold wind
