I was still having them out of the machine at work until about 5 years ago … (although they were 35p .. that’s inflation for you!)

I remember buying my mum a tin of soup for 25p for her birthday because I only had£1 pocket money left and had other people to buy for.

I was like 3. It was pea and ham soup x

It's a breadcake (not starting any arguments lol ) with a batterd and fried piece of potato with curry sauce on

Most pools back when I were a nipper, had a small shop almost like a school tuck shop.

Going swimming was an event it felt special.

Nowadays it's a fucking ballache our local pool you have to book a slot to go swimming for fuck sake!

That when slot's are available in between swimming lessons and pissing aqua aerobics
