Whoa! Lovely.

We once received 40 white board markers and a wall safe that were sent to us in error. The supplier told us to keep them as arranging a return wasn't cost efficient. I also ordered some straighteners then changed my mind. The supplier just refunded me and told me not to bother returning.

Not quite free......

Few years ago I purchased some bedroom furniture in a sale, 50% off, so already a bargain. Double bed, double wardrobe and 2 bedside cupboards.

Signed up to pay over 12 months, made the first payment there and then and filled in te DD forms.

Month 1 they didn't take the payment so I phoned up, explained, paid over the phone and thet sent another set of DD forms, which i filled and sent back.

Month 2 they didn't take the payment........ I assumed they didn't want my money and left it at that.

A ride on fucking machine!! No jokes. Couldn't believe my luck, the rest of my order was there and I'd only been charged for what I ordered. I was so nervous they'd ask for it back I let it sit in a box for 8 weeks before even opening it. Never got a message or a call to get it back so after that it was fair game, still works 8 years later but the dildos have seen better days haha.

That's just reminded us. We ordered two cabinets. One was damaged so we returned it, they refunded, twice. We pointed it out but they never asked for the money back

Oh I just remembered another one. A supermarket delivered a load of someone else's shopping with ours and missed some of ours off. They sent someone out with our missing stuff and told us to keep the extra stuff .

Free money, you reminded me now.....

Few years ago, let go as part of a cost cutting exercise, agree my settlement money, to be paid in the next months pay run.

Check bank account, 50% more than we agreed. I set it aside and say nothing. If they realise I can pay it back.

Next month, get paid my usual salary. And the next 2 months.

Same company, supposed to be collecting my company car. Five months and got knows how many phone calls and letters later and its still parked on my drive.

I write a final letter stating if its not collected I'll be charging them storage.

No reply.

So next month I sent a cheeky invoice for £200. And they paid it. And the next four invoices I sent.

Did I mention I was let go as part of a cost cutting exercise......

. The irony was not lost on me.

I'm a similar vein. I took voluntary redundancy and two months later was employed as an agency worker at a much higher rate to do the same job.

A den in the Glen

Ordered £1000 worth of garden furniture (table and 6 chairs) a few years back. The table was slightly damaged so i asked them to replace the table only. They replaced everything and the new table was badly damaged this time. I got in touch and exactly the same thing happened again. 3 tables and 18 chairs in the garden. I cancelled the purchase and told them to collect all their stuff. They confirmed they would collect the TWO sets asap. I hid a set and they took 2 away leaving a grands worth of garden furniture for me.

Regarding being lucky My partner was made redundant 2 years ago. After 24 years with the same firm..He was devastated and immediately looked for work.

Found a job and hated it so he left..then another and somewhat enjoyed that. But was offered another job back at the original company, but in a different branch..His redundancy was pretty high,so he made a killing.

I’m a shop once, I cheekily asked the cashier if she could “round down” my £43 bill to £40. She seemed quite offended and said best she could do was the manager’s discount of 15%.

A quick mental calculation and I readily agreed to her suggestion!!

John Lewis had a bit of a cock up at Christmas time a few years ago. I managed to order a lot of items for the price of two mascaras thanks to a glitch which I was more than happy with.

They also randomly chucked in a Ralph Lauren jumper. When I called them because I thought I'd do the right thing, they told me to keep it.

I did really well for £40ish.

Just the other day I took two drainage couplers worth about a fiver plus vat each back to Travis perkins and a day or so later got the bank app alert and they had refunded £256 (the cost of the entire order when I bought the couplers) I did go straight down the following morning and straighten it out with them though.

Other random things that have just shown up in post with or without other orders are a Chelsea fc shirt from sports direct a guess who game from I forget where maybe smiths and a transit tipper wheel
