Welcome to The Nocturnal at Misty Manor. My Manor House resplendent with gothic charm and housing various ghosts, ghouls and various beasties that go bump in the night. All are welcome here in my mildly perilous, safe space.

I’ll be hostess with the mostess armed with a cheeky smile, offering kisses and squishy hugs and dressed to impress in black lace & silk.

The fire is roaring. The ghosts are banished to the attic. The ghouls are serving mulled wine, hot chocolate and coffee.

Most obliging. If you'd slide the WiFi password under the screen (I've never seen such an imaginative and lifelike scene portrayed in Chinese lacquer; their expressions are exquisite, and their contortions remarkable), I shall ignore the sounds of mischief and work away.

Perhaps you could send a few of your ghoullettes around later, with a chilled carafe of Absinthe. The prospect would ease most wonderfully an hour or two of labouring with PowerPoint.

The screen is a true work of art. The same face or position never appears twice. It’s been inspiration for many a night within these walls…

Good evening! Today, I have managed not to injure myself. It's been a WFH sort of day, involving staring at a screen of people doing very little for several hours (I did that yesterday too). Took our daughter to a dance thingy after work, which she really enjoyed. It was worth freezing my knackers off in the car, waiting (because......stairs).

Just watched two episodes of Black Snow, had to stop myself from carrying on, the dog needed to go out so need some self discipline. Not sure I'd call it fun, gripping, though somewhat confusing characters.

I did suspect the squirrels- he has large bifold doors to look through and I imagine they come up and twitch their little noses at him, before turning round and giving him a full moon.

Well, tonight I watched a 3 hour fan edit of David Lynch's Dune. I really enjoyed it - better than the official edit. Now chilling with some Red Dwarf Have you been watching anything fun?

Honestly fully recommend it if they tour past your way. We were so impressed with the show, so well done and such talent.
