What’s your favourite thing about Christmas and what’s your least favourite thing about Christmas?

I love the excuse to get friends and family together to celebrate.

I dislike the yearly discussion around “is die hard a Christmas movie?”. Who cares? Lol

Die Hard IS a Christmas movie. I care deeply.

Fave thing: day with my entire family

Not so keen: it start in November

I dislike that it's been turned into hyper capitalist extroversion time. Go out and spend all the money and get up in people's faces. You have to be happy and social and drink all the alcohol. It's compulsory. It's a particular day of the year. If you're not you'll ruin the particular day of the year. Also spend all the money. Now. Even if you don't have it. Stuff your face. Destroy the planet. Do eeeet. Also, this energy starts in October, September if you're unlucky.

I like the fact that no one can, in fact, make me do any of this.

I love that my kids get ridiculously excited and people are generally happier and kinder in the run up to Xmas.

I hate the utter waste, the impact it has on the environment and that it can be horrible and lonely time of year for lots of people and they get lost in the mayhem.

Favourite thing…….the end of it on the 26th.

Least favourite thing……it starts in October.

I’m happy that people enjoy it, and don’t begrudge anyone milking it for its worth.

I just can’t be arsed. It’s a big old faff.

All of it!! Watching the kids getting excited, spending time with family, the Christmas movies, the FOOD.

My least favourite thing is probably the stress of making sure all the gifts are bought and wrapped in time.

Love that it puts 99% of people in a good mood and gives everyone that “fuck it, it’s Christmas” mindset.

Dislike receiving rubbish presents. Love giving presents but get uncomfortable receiving presents especially shit ones haha

I may give Christmas a miss again this year. Like, just ignore all the Christmas fake everything. I would like to spend the day itself with some person or maybe small number of people that I enjoy being with, but I might decide instead that I want to be on my own. And I like Christmas pudding, chocolate etc, but that's just because they are nice foods, not because they are Christmas.

It's just me, and it's because over the last few years I've lost too many people that were special for me. The rest of you, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you doing Christmas. Go on, have a great time please, just remember that not everyone might be feeling particularly great about Christmas.

I love the build up to Xmas & people are in better moods ect, but find the day a bit Meh.I much prefer Christmas eve and my partner and I tend to go out for food and drinks then.

I've often had to work Xmas day/night too & last year when I was actually off for once I was ill, typical.

I think the ads have started way too early though again.
