What is your favorite moment in Star trek.

Mine to when the bay lights iluminate the 1701-D.

Goosebumps.

Somewhere In The Ether…

So many fantastic Star Trek moments but for me, the DS9 episode entitled, The Visitor.

An incredibly powerful and emotional episode.

If you’ve seen it, you’ll know exactly what I mean

My Star Trek memory is when Captain Picard was taken by the Borg the first part ended and I heard the presenter say that it would be two weeks to wait because of the cricket. WHAT!!!

The week after I was reading the paper and saw a apology from the BBC stating it had so many complaints due to the cricket stopping ST airing that they had decided to break during the cricket so ST could be aired.

The power of Star Trek fans in action.

Godalming

When the Borg queen is introduced and descends down to be plugged into her body. A very erotically charged performance throughout the film from that actress.

And the bald actress in the original motion picture.

Not a massive Star Trek fan other than that.

Probably something involving the Q Collective or perhaps Hugh the Borg.

The Voyager episode "The Thaw". Such a very Original Series feel to it.

Any doubts that Captain Janeway wasn't a Starfleet captain with loins of steel were dispelled at the end. The Clown (the embodiment of fear) is defeated and the darkness slowly closes in. The only person with him is Janeway's computer projection.

The Clown: I'm afraid.

Janeway: I know...

*lights out*

It's a magnificent Star Trek moment.

But honestly, there are too many others that could vie for the spot.

Ben Sisko recounting to his log the underhanded stunt he's presided over to pull the Romulans into the Dominion War - ending with him declaring he's fine with all of that and deleting the log?

The entire mirror universe double episode of Enterprise where they even changed the opening credits? Sublime nod to the original series - there's even a Gorn!

Ahhh, Trek geekery...

I need a Janice Rand outfit

"Real Trekkies are only interested in the original series and the associated films !!"

That’s fighting talk right there that is!

I’ve actually heard stories of actual fights breaking out at Sci fi conventions over which Trek was the best(!!!)

And for gawd sake; NEVER, EVER pose the question which Captain was the best at such events….

Picardians vs Kirkers - it’s a seriously volatile subject!

Unsure if it’s true but I read that during the making of “the undiscovered country” Kim catrall had nude photos taken of her on the bridge wearing nothing but her Vulcan ears,

Leonard Nimoy found out about this and fearing it would become public and the story would overshadow the movie release had them all destroyed including the negatives, such a crime!

It's also moot. The best captain is Kathryn "pulsed phaser rifles" Janeway - bigger balls than all the male captains combined.

Scotty : Do you mind a little advice? Starfleet captains are like children. They want everything right now and they want it their way. But the secret is to give them only what they need, not what they want.

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge : Yeah, well, I told the Captain I'd have this analysis done in an hour.

Scotty : How long will it really take?

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge : An hour!

Scotty : Oh, you didn't tell him how long it would *really* take, did ya?

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge : Well, of course I did.

Scotty : Oh, laddie. You've got a lot to learn if you want people to think of you as a miracle worker.

“Felis Catus” is your taxonomic nomenclature:

An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature.

Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses

Contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses.

I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations,

A singular development of cat communications

That obviates your basic hedonistic predilection

For rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection.

A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents:

You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance;

And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,

It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.

Oh Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display,

Connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array;

And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,

I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.
