Clever totty

Which people we stand a chance of having heard of do you fancy not because of their looks (although that might be part of it) but because of their brains?

Does Carol Vorderman or her younger counterpart Rachel Riley do for you because their grip on figures makes you want to grip their figures?

Are you hot for historians Dan Snow, Dan Jones, Lucy Worsley or Mary Beard and want to have them part of your present rather than just learning about the past?

Are you a sucker for the erudition and would like a bit of Fry and Laurie? (Did you spot the pun?)

Do you want to hear David Mitchell moan in a different way to what we usually hear, and involve his lovely wife Victoria Coren-Mitchell?

It's all about the brains, folks. Who would be your clever totty?

.

Neil Gaiman. I was about to reply to an equally erudite man from here but I wanted to say Gaiman.

His mind is utterly fantastic. In person he has this sharp, dark wit and takes great joy in rambling discussions and unashamedly leaning into his passions and learning others.

Plus, he gives off kinky vibes. Waffles, brilliant writer, passionate, hot in my daddy issues kind of way.

He's utterly

Great choice. We're watching Good Omens at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. I read that after he wrote it with Terry Pratchett, they wanted to get it made for TV, but NG dropped the idea after TP died. It turns out TP left a letter for NG for opening after TP's death urging NG to try and get it made, which he managed to do.

After his 'witty remarks' suggesting the Gaelic language be eradicated I suggest Mitchell be dealt with in an 'historically appropriate and culturally sensitive' manner. Hopefully, that would also free VC from whatever spell she is being held under.

He's a lovely person! He did a book signing at the tiny independent bookshop in our nearest bigger town. My wife couldn't easily get in there in her wheelchair, so he came out especially and signed all her stuff, (a dvd copy of Neverwhere included) not just his recent book.

Both Rachel Riley and Carol Vorderman have been mentioned so I'm going to say another Countdown alumni Susie Dent!

Used to have the hots for Ray Mears. His outdoor survivalist knowledge was quite the turn on.

Sadly the more I’ve seen of him I’ve come to the conclusion he doesn’t have my type of humour, so that’s the end of that.

La la land

I wouldn't say it's the intelligence that attracts me to the kind of person you are describing OP. But the passion that they have for their given subject, I find that kind of hot

I imagine that after the hash they made of American Gods which I watched on prime. Having read the book, N.G would have been put of turning good omens into a television series. However I for one really enjoyed the book and the TV series.
