Next Door

Quite a few of us have leftovers that we eat in the next day or 2.

What's your favourite leftovers?

Is there something that others like that you don't?

I have leftover sausage tray bake for lunch. It had sweet pots, mushrooms and pak choi in with a hoisin sauce. Delicious

I don't actually like hot pizza straight out the oven, but I do like day old, cold pizza for some weird reason.

Any sort of stew, curry, chilli based dish. I love those leftovers the most.

Then it’s pies, bangers n mash, roast dinners.

I try to avoid pasta dishes unless I can separate the sauce from the pasta. It soaks up all the liquid and just leave soft, and overly dry pasta to eat.

Veggie chilli + rice makes a fab leftover if I put it in a wrap with a bit of cheese and air fry.

I generally find anything homecooked in a rich sauce has a better flavour the next day

I make a turkey mince risotto on a Monday and have it for lunch in the next couple of days and that always tastes really nice.

Unfortunately a lot of things aren't sold for one person so leftovers are inevitable

This is where beards come in handy.

Getting peckish ? Quick comb out of the beard and hey presto, the rest of that Cornish pasty you were eating for lunch appears, instant snack

Transsexual Transylvania

Singapore fried rice - homemade, not shop bought.

My famous vegetarian biryani.

My prawn curry.

My boef bourguignon.

Roast lamb.

Oh bugger it, I just like my own cooking. With an arse like mine thrown in, I'd make some guy a great little homemaker.

Manchester-ish

We make jambalaya from any roast chicken leftover from Sunday dinners and reheat leftover roast pork which is turned into pulled pork with a generous dollop of bbq sauce.

Cottage Pie. Second time in the oven, mash goes lovely and crispy. And all the burnt bits on the oven dish.
