Cards Against Humanity was fun for a while, until we all got bored of it.

Ex Libris!

It's so good. Pretentious but brilliant. I had a lovely social with a couple and when they brought out Ex Libris I knew they were my kind of leftie dorks.

Love Scrabble (even though my friends and loved ones refuse to play it with me for some peculiar reason) and Monopoly.

Pandemic can be great fun, as can Bananagrams. I also played that with the aforementioned couple; realised I found the man attractive when he was just as much of a competitive dick as I am. I really should message them.

Muggles! there are so many wonderful new board games available. Watch a few episodes of Shut Up And Sit Down to get some ideas of what to try. The boardgames expo that takes place at the NEC every summer is enormous

Family favourites for us include Pandemic and Carcassonne. The kids love What Do You Meme as well.

Transsexual Transylvania

Risk is fun and easy to play. I have Godstorm Risk, which is centred on the classical world, and includes Atlantis and gods and goddesses who can be summoned to fight with the armies.

My daughter and I play Space Hulk, which is a standalone Warhammer 40K game where space marines have to run missions in a drifting labyrinthine space hulk full of genestealers.

The best ever (which I have a copy of) is the original Avalon Hill release of Civilisation. A day's fun right there.

Kelso

We like Catan, Pandemic and Betrayal on House on the Hill.

Still like some of the older board games but it's really nice having such a broader choice these days.

Have thought for quite a while it would be good to have a board games night with fabbers xx

We've played Monopoly, Cluedo and Jumanji at recent Christmases. Love a bit of Monopoly and my cousin once bought the Derby edition which was interesting
