couple, us we him her.

Anyone had a close friend or what you thought was a close friend stxb you in the back?

I remember at school I had what I thought was a best friend plot against me for no other reason than to make himself look good.

He pretended that I had said something about his sister she approached me in the playground and slapped me round the face, the hope was I would retaliate and hit her he would then jump in and start a fight.

I didn't retaliate I just walked away, found out later that one of our other members of the group had come up with the whole scheme and been the one to organise it all.

I confronted him next day then punched him, didn't know he had a metal plate in his head the impact caused him to pass out,I got suspended from school despite being the victim of a bullying campaign that went on for some time until I eventually had it out properly with the ring leader, he didn't pass out when I hit this fella but he did cry.

I didn't feel particularly great about it but the bullying did stop and blokes being blokes we made up after and went on to become very good friends.

Bullying at school is/was never good.

That said, my very best friend and lifelong "pal", pissed off to some woebegone shithole with a woman literally older than his mother, and after conning me out of a fair bit of money, the end of a 43 year friendship! I hope he feels good about himself! NOT!!

Yes. I had a friend make a move on a guy I had liked (and had a few snogs with previously) in front of me. She knew I liked him. He didn’t return her attentions which was a blessing.

It was then I realised she was not a friend.

Yes. I’ve been taken the piss out of and lied to. I closed that door and didn’t look back.

Yes. But I’m not giving details in public (it’s still hard to talk about even in private). It’s taken many years to recover and rebuild, and it’s left a legacy of distrust that will never fade.

You just didn't get away with shitbag behaviour where I grew up. Didn't go well for those people.
