I have a variety of different ones that do different jobs. They don't make me look better, albeit being so dwt means they make me look average height

My top tip if you're in an indoor event all day and want to wear heels, look up dance heels, you'll manage to keep them on all day even if they're mega high.

I live mainly in converse and docs but I like heels occasionally. I like retro/vintage styles such as Ruby Shoo best. I can't walk in them if they're too high - my thigh boots look incredible until I try to move

Out and about nice plainish Stiletto or little platform heel. Peep toe is good. Strappy heel in the summer.

I mostly purchase online across various sites unless it’s a new to me brand. In which case, I likely need to try them on first to find my right size. I can wear heels in a wide range of four different sizes depending on the brand and style.

I’m a heels snob and mostly buy designer heels unless it’s a one off very trendy shoe that I can’t see wearing beyond one season. This is rare for me though. I like to think of the price per wear to justify my snobbery in heels. If I’m buying inexpensive heels I browse River Island, or ASOS.

I walk better in heels than flat shoes. I like the way my calves look in heels. I like the way my bum is enhanced in heels and often catch myself having a glimpse of my bum as I walk past shop windows. Heels on others can be stunning if they feel comfortable in them. Non heel wearers that try to walk in sky high heels don’t make them look good, and don’t look good themselves.

I like D’Orsay style heels for the cheeky, sexy peek of parts of the arch that this style of heel offers. Slingback are another favourite.

I will always choose a stiletto heel over block, or platform. My preference is at least 4” but I have some Louboutins that are over 6” and aren’t bedroom only heels. Pointed toe over squared if closed toe. If it’s a heeled sandal, I prefer squared toe instead of pointed. A wedge is my least favourite. Thin straps if it’s strappy. I dislike wide straps. I’m extremely fussy about heels and dislike the weird zip up the back that some have.

There’s a U.K. based heels expert on IG that breaks down the qualities you should seek and avoid in heels to make them more easy on the feet. She even has a method for determining the right height for you, to avoid excessive foot pain in heels. She offers at home training to get your ankles stronger to be able to withstand hours in heels. I must say, before Covid I was able to withstand heels far longer than I can now. I never carried extra shoes with me to change into whilst travelling throughout London. Now, it’s nearly compulsory for me unless I’m taking an Uber.

I love heels, and tend to go for style over brand. Yes, I have some classic black Louboutin stilettos. Yes, they're beautiful and really well made...they are also one of the most uncomfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn!

I like a hint of vintage style, and something a bit...not ordinary. But not as flamboyant as some of the more extreme Irregular Choice designs.

Charity shops are a good hunting ground for me, I like shoes that nobody else has got...I found a pair of 1950s heeled brogues that are gorgeous. Also vintage Red or Dead.

I'm not being much help here, am I? I guess all that waffle means that I tend to stay away from the clichéd "sexy" heels and go for a more individual look, but I'm not really one to follow fashion anyway.

Sparkly ones are my absolute favourite on a lady.

Yes… I know they can be uncomfortable for you all but the effect it has on legs and posture are unmatched by any other accessory.

Because YES. This is the whole point of a pair of good heels, right? They change your posture. Change the shape of your whole body. Change the way you carry yourself. And damn right you should stay aware of that, be proud of it, celebrate it, and mentally high-five yourself for looking hot when you catch your own reflection.

Some people don’t know this, and apologies if you do, Louboutin and any high end designer heels require one to size up sometimes up to two sizes. Louboutin recommends sizing up a half size but I’ve found that’s not enough as have many others. A brilliant shopkeeper at Fendi once told me this secret. I thought he was mad as I imagined my foot would slip out the shoes, until I tried it for myself. In the right size they should not be uncomfortable at all.

I can run across a wet pavement in 120mm So Kate heels sized right for my feet.

Oh brilliant, thank you so much! I'm trying to find a pair and my mind is coming up blank. Did you know your feet shrink when you lose weight? Nor did I until trying on my heels this morning.

I tend towards block heels and platforms for comfort and longevity on my feet. Koi footwear do some gorgeous styles if I'm feeling like I want to spend money. Lamoda, Shein and everything5pounds quite often have cute shoes that fit my aesthetic for a much more manageable price though

I have quite a few Louboutin pairs and a couple of pairs from Steve Madden which I love. The hot pink ones in my gallery are quite popular.

I also have a couple of pairs from Faith, bought at the extinct Debenhams which are a dead ringer for my LB Pigalles- just no red sole.

I like heels. I believe you look better in them. I went to a training course at work the other day and could not bieve how many youngsters were wearing white trainers. Showing my age, I know.

I don’t like sandals or boots.

Thank you, I did know this and sized up accordingly. I think it's my feet if I'm honest, I have very high arches, which kind of scrunches my toes when I walk in all stilettos.

I believe there are studies that proved that heels shape the female form in certain ways which increases a man's desire.

I have worn heels and they make feel incredible.

I love the sound they make when women walk. I also think I like the way cause you to walk with a bit of swag. Xx

Ohhhhhh Demonia. I can't personally recommend as I can't justify the expense (yet !) But they are so pretty. They have the most BEAUTIFUL heels in there, ie black boots with a silver heel that looks like a skeleton finger. Weird I know.....but soooooo cool. Other wise I would say vinted for good heels that have hardly been worn. I got some irregular choice heeled boots from there as well as my DM heeled boots too. They are comfy, cute/sexy too

I have a pair of Karen Millens I got for 32.50 in a sale down from 145. And a much cheaper pair of ombre neels from shuh also 35 quid.

Heels are a bastard to wear. But they make you look and feel awesome.

Platforms and block heels are easier to walk in.

My most comfy are a pair of Enzo Angionlini patents slingbacks (3 inch stiletto) from the early 00's (Vinted).

Got some visually stunning Iron Fist 'Dorothy' and a lovely pair of lace mesh Next peeptoes from the same era. Again, Vinted, and the others from my o/h as she can't wear them.

I'd describe your heel style as quirky burlesque. They look sexy because they're very you and suit your style.

I own a couple of pairs of designer shoes but I think I'll be selling them (hi Vinted) as they're a bit too big now. I might have a look at some charity shops and see what I can find. Don't want to spend too much as I'll probably lose at least one the next time tequila is involved.

As a size 9, I need to locate somewhere that sells my size, so I'm fairly open to source but some so called 9's are really only 8's.

Looking at my shoe collection New Look is the main choice, although Next, Faith and Debenhams are make an appearance.

For me, heels complete the look and I wouldn't want to be seen without them.

Yes! White trainers are really popular aren't they? If you go clubbing... white Sambas seem to be the go to.

I think heels, when you find the right pair, can make you feel incredible. I just need to try and find that pair now!
