I made scones a few days ago and always make my own Yorkshire puddings. I'd never buy either as they're so simple to make and, I think, taste better homemade.

What do you make that most other people just buy? And why? Is it the joy, the money saving, or the better quality of homemade? This doesn't just have to be food, I know some people are very crafty.

Do you use self raising flour for your Yorkshire pudding? If not, give it a try sometime

Probably things like cheese sauce or any sauce really. I've never understood why people buy packets or jars when it's really easy to make anyway.

Food always. Mainly because of allergies but I'd be even fatter if I didn't cook from scratch. Hanging baskets/floral arrangements/garlands/wreaths. I'm already planning this year's Christmas wreath.

Thanks grandma for teaching me such important life skills.

I try to repair (myself where possible) rather than replace.

Pretty much all food, but bread’s a big one. I stopped buying bread nearly three years ago and bought a stand mixer instead.

Why do people buy them ready made, they're awful and so easy to make?

I remember once I got a breakfast in Frankie and Benny's and it was literally a stack of premade pancakes. Just dry and tasteless. Nasty.

I always get confused as to why anyone buys those packets of pancake mix. Essentially it's a bag of expensive flour.

I love fresh bread, but we do buy most of ours. We get through so much it would be too time consuming to bake all of it ourselves

I do wish I could make my own clothes. I'm fairly useless with much more than sewing on a button unfortunately.

All my food is homemade and I make my own sourdough bread, and therefore I never buy bread (and breadcrumbs) anymore.

Cards, wrapping paper, seasonal decorations, just to name a few.

A loaf can last us a day, maybe two. My kids could live off bread if I let them.

Same... Recently discovered a really good, easy, chocolate chip muffins recipe... Only takes half an hour to whip up a batch, and they're just as good as the shop ones.
