STOP. THINK. !

You've already sent xxxxxxx a message and not received a reply back.

Is the warning you get if you go to message someone you really like and you’ve already Messaged them previously.

I sometimes try again (just once)if I really like the profile and photos and think we’d be a good match.

Only because you hear that couples and single women get hundreds of replies daily so in my mind there’s a chance they’ve not seen the message.

So the question is am I wrong to try again, and what do you do if you get the STOP, THINK message ?

I do if the second message doesn’t get a reply, more than two tries is to much I think

Conventional Forum wisdom may be that you'd be the scum of the earth for sending again but I disagree providing it is polite.

I got through to a lady on the second go and been together pretty much ever since.

As you say messages often get missed and some people barely look at messages or block delete. Sometimes people are in the mood for contact and other times not. Also possible the second message relates to something different - like a status update, meet request, profile change, etc. I know from my couples profile much more likely to read and reply to a message from a man if looking to meet or arrange little party. Other times barely read them.

I'd stop & not message.

The people who message us then continue to I remind they got a huge warning for a reason & if they want to get responses they should message people actually looking for them.

I’ve just tried this to reply privately to someone on this thread. I’d never noticed before but it automatically put’s STOP THINK in the message subject.,

I quite like that feature

And no i didn’t send a message because i don’t message again if I didn’t get a reply the first time.

I’m always very polite and don’t always send a second message it’s only when you think wow they’re perfect for me (but I’m obviously not perfect for them) lol

Yeah I’d say try again if you really like them. Especially it it’s unread. Sometimes I don’t even look at messages for weeks. Maybe no more than twice though.

If I’m 50-50, I mark unread to come back to later. Or not.

Well you obviously have time to read and consider every message. Many don't and just check sporadically. Certainly the case on my couples profile. Often get a message from somebody and just read it and not reply at that time but not so bad as to delete or block. A few day or weeks or months later the same person or couple may align with what we want at that time and reply.

Sometimes I just quickly tag through messages but then they get pushed down

I mean I would say if message is unread perhaps send one a couple of weeks later.

I had a couple last night message me 7 times and 2 times already this morning

I don't get a lot of messages (strong filters) and I find it irritating AF when a guy sends several messages within a few hours. They seem like a toddler pulling at my trousers. I just block those guys.

Sending another message a couple of days later - there's no harm in it, I don't think? And you never know.

If its been a while since the first message, that's ok ie weeks.

Any sent very quickly after the first wasn't replied to, mean I tend to block as it looks pushy.

It doesn't seem to deter the ones who are hell bent on getting your attention though sadly.

If we don’t reply 99% of the time it’s because the sender has not read the profile and seen they don’t fit with what we are looking for

I guess if you have sent one msg and it hasn't been read, I would try again or be patient (shrug). She could have done a mass delete and it got caught in that or hasn't got round to reading it.

If she has read it though and no reply is given, either take it as a sign to stop and walk away, or think I need to step up my game. Especially if the previous msg was along the lines of a hi how are you? Try and stand out (this does not mean a dick pic, yours isn't more amazing than any body else's. All penis's are cool, its just for me, not appropriate introduction). Put together a decent message, and if she doesn't answer this time after being read, it's her loss. Youve taken time to introduce herself, she didn't reply despite reading the msg, although there maybe a male/female imbalance, there really are more fish in the sea and there will be one who appreciates you.

99% of couples don't get hundreds of messages a day, that's a myth. Just leave them alone would be our advice.

On here op if they not respond first time round.

Means to me not interested because you are not a match.

Considering this weeks rude messages for me.. Block. Move on.
