Has porn ruined or enhanced sex?

I remember as a wet behind the ears young adult with much more limited access to porn that my early forays into sex were a bit fumbly, a bit of fingering, a bit of oral and finishing with a good bout of missionary.

These days there’s so much access to porn, a lot of it rough, spitting, gagging, degrading etc that current generations *might* think that this is how “normal” sex should be?

Has porn changed your perceptions of what sex should be? And if so, is this good or bad?

Maybe it’s enhanced your sex life by introducing you to whole new genres / acts that you wouldn’t have considered before?

What d’ya think, Fabsters?

Is porn good or bad?

I wouldn’t say it’s ruined it but it’s certainly brought an element of expected roughness

I don’t watch it so don’t really know what the ‘in’ things are lately. But going on how I see some approaches, I’m glad I don’t.

Nah. I don’t really watch it apart from lesbian stuff every now and then and sometimes for research . I have a few vids of my own, I like those. So no, hasn’t affected me.

It's perhaps made it worse for some but, overall I'd say perhaps a slight improvement, giving a nudge towards exploring doing more

Porn nowadays is awful. It’s really confusing for younger people. It portrays spitting/gangbangs/deepthroating/gagging as the norm. On twitter the other day, I saw some young women really pleased in a celebratory way, that their ‘bf’s’ had finally kissed them…kissed them. Aren’t young adults having less sex than ever, but watching more porn?!

Carlisle usually

No.

It has done neither for me. It is neither good nor bad.

Has a lot to answer for the porn industry does… definitely believe it warps ideas of what and how sex should be. Also perpetuates negative stereotypes of certain groups too….

I think there are pros and cons...

I do think it has sexually liberated some people to not be ashamed with kinks and fetishes. I do find women are quicker to admit loving a certain thing than I imagine they used to back in the 50s

But also yeah, you can expect too much I guess. I'm definitely less interested if the sex sounds in my opinion 'vanilla' - to me that isn't passionate. And I don't want to "make love" with anyone either.

Likely a sign of my age but I never enjoyed the 'continental' porn mags as a teen etc due to so explicit but now its so easy to see pretty extreme stuff. Fiesta & Esc@rt were pretty tame but had fully naked ladies often with pubes too.

As we all know the Internet is equally beneficial as it is poison but convinced the porn side of it is pretty unwelcome given the way some women are treated but need to remember they are being paid to 'act' out those scenes.

I think we have porn to thank for the spitting, DJ clit spinning and trying to bang you more times than a ketchup bottle in one session.

I'd like to think men wouldn't behave this way without influence.

There does seem to be an expectation of more “rough” sex as standard / normal which can’t be healthy in the long term imho

I would say it's ruined sex...

Right behind you…. Boo

It depends on whether the person you’re having the sex with wants to behave as if they’re in a porn film (or the husband is lurking in the corner shouting instructions as if he’s directing a porn film). In that scenario I’d say that porn has ruined it.

I would say it hasn’t ruined or changed anything for me but I grew up before the internet so wasn’t as influenced by it, as say my son will be.

It’s probably helped with intrigue about certain aspects of sex but I’d know what’s right and wrong and what’s real and faked, so it’s not influenced me in any way.

Neither - I think it does give many false expectations given the amount of jackhammering men trying to rub a stain out the carpet on your clit isn't fun.

I generally only watch lesbian porn or if there's something that intrigues me I may have a browse but otherwise I prefer to imagine/remember wank rather than porn.
