When you're eating something like curry, or chilli, do you prefer to eat it with a spoon or a fork?

I'm a spoon guy through and through but I've a feeling I may be outnumbered here.

Sporks have actually been around for years, you can get different types. Great for the very elderly and dementia. And Wonko obviously! (I've used one myself in the past I admit). pt

I genuinely thought I’d stumbled upon the American Forum page for a minute

The correct answer is Knife and Fork people unless it’s popadoms, naan bread, burrito or Taco’s in which case feel free to use your hands.

"When you're eating something like curry, or chilli, do you prefer to eat it with a spoon or a fork?

"

There is no spoon...

I prefer "mopping up" with a naan, roti, tortilla or whatever. If the dish is served with rice (like both examples) I eat the meat/veg in the sauce part first then stir the rice through the remaining sauce which soaks a lot of it up anyway.

Rice is just easier with a spoon! Mrs villain hates that I use a spoon but it’s easier. If you’re using a fork simply because you think it’s “proper” and you look down on people for using a spoon, then that’s a bit sad

Well Indians have mastered not using either when eating curries, they use Naans to scoop it up...so we're all wrong.

I can and do use a fork for almost everything.

I don't mind what others use as I'm aware there are many dishes originally made to be eaten using hands or other items and we now use forks and spoons for.

It's just easier/neater for me to use a fork so I do.

Either curry or chilli, anything like that, Chinese, stir fry, Jacket potato, stew, always a spoon and a fork.
