Wrap in foil.. Cook slowly meat be tender. If meat tray has room roast your veg in beef fat.

I hate cooking beef. Can cook a joint absolutely perfect. Following week, cook a similar joint, same weight, cook it the same, and disaster.

If I was giving any advice, it would be to check it about 20 mins before you think its ready then 10 minutes before. if its under cooked you can put it back in. If its overcooked.......

I've done red wine in the past, but yeah some water at least.

Salt your meat. I can’t stress enough how much difference it makes.

A few hours before you’re going to cook, or even overnight if you plan ahead, cover the meat really thoroughly in salt and put it back in the fridge. Rinse that salt off and pat dry when it’s time to prep and cook.

Just googled. Jamie Oliver gives a great little tutorial.

Brown it first to seal in juice and flavour then cook on a bed of veggies for moisture and flavour.

It really depends on the cut. Generally the less it cost per kilo the longer and slower it should be cooked and the better it tastes.

20 mins hot (220°c ) then 180° for 15 mins a lb for rare Add 15mins for medium

Deliah says so and it works every time

Let it rest for 15-20 mins!!!!!!!!

Yeah we got a little one from Aldi as it's just the two of us but still forking expensive.

If I had the time, sear the surface and then slow cook in a mixture of water, spices, seasoning, lemon juice, vinegar, several cloves of garlic and a whole onion, skin off, with a slice running through one side.

No time, then repeat the above in a pressure cooker.

Yep! That's why it we ever but it we go for cheaper cuts and get Hugh Fearnley -Whittingstall's 'Meat'out...and yes I did deliberately type it that way

Reverse sear depending on how thick it is

Also, a good cut. Go cheap and you’ll get cheap. Get a fillet

Salt it and let it stand for 30 mins, then put in a HOT frying pan with a little olive oil and seal / brown the outside.

Then pop in oven for an hour. X

Always good if you can truss it, some salt and pepper, then sear it first to give it a nice colour. 20mins per pound in 180° preheated oven and 15mins extra for rare( my preference) or 20-25 mins for medium. Rest for at least 15 to 20 mins. Enjoy

If it’s a joint always take it out about 10/15 mins before the time and then put tin foil over it…the heat will still cook it but it’ll be perfectly rare/medium rare.

Rub in a little oil, salt and if it’s your thing, mustard into the meat. Cook it slowly on a trivet of root vegetables and celery (that you will use later for the gravy.
