Good morning my fellow fabbers. I trust you all had a good night's sleep just curious to know if I'm a lone slipknot fan or are there others in here that love the heavy metal beauty of the knot

Reporting for duty.

Oh, and I’ll bring my daughter along too. She can head any and mosh with the best of ‘em. Even at 5

I like a few songs but think they may be just a bit too heavy for me. Absolutely love Stone Sour though even though the genre is completely different.

Never got into them.. maybe it's an age thing... though saying that I listen to stuff like pig destroyer.. exhumed..etc.. which is pretty extreme.. maybe it was the masks that scared me off..

As above, a little heavy for me.

I bought Iowa while at college and listened it a lot, but wouldn't qualify as a fan.

Also still have a couple stone sour cds.

I love Corey Taylors voice.

The first time I heard them was the track ‘surfacing’. I was hooked at that moment, and still air thrash my drums each time I play it.

My fave song by them is "Eyeless"

They are a great band to get people transitioning from traditional or softer metal to something a bit heavier.

Mind you, I was into heavier more extreme stuff before Slipknot appeared. But then I love all genres of rock and metal.

The late 90's was a great period for metal, the knot being one of hundreds of great bands making a name for themselves.

Quite like Psychosocial and Vermillion but there's loads of others I listen to all the time.

Iowa was definitely one of my favourite albums as a dirty little teenage mosher.

It's a great album. I think I preferred the spit, venom and raw fury of the previous album.

For me they were side by side with the band Nothingface for that fury.

For me my favourite is the heretic anthem something about it just gets me in a happy mood. Tbh any knot track makes me smile.

People equals shit being blasted on the works speakers at 4am this morning was how work went. My colleagues may have hated it but I was smiling all over the shop

I'll be there too! Although it's my first time. Seen Corey Taylor this year so that was an appetiser.

Has anyone came across Heart Support channel on YouTube? I've been listening to Slipknot for the last 20 odd years and so much of what is discussed on this channel about their lyrics and the songs really make a lot of sense and hit home

Liked an album back in the day, was it called 'iowa' ?

Had it on cd.

Don't really follow that genre of music closely these days, but they're superb at what they do.
