I linked a guy off here he came round my house and took my kids Christmas present and a whole bunch of money which was for Christmas. I cannot contact him directly I dunno what to do as I can't contact the police I don't have any real info about him can anyone help

Police can find him through his IP address I think.

Worth a try I guess.

I would imagine that the payment records for a site supporter could ultimately be used to track him down. The police would know what steps would need to be taken.

I think you do need to contact the police.

If nothing else, you'll need a crime reference for any insurance claim.

Definitely report him to the police...He is probably relying on the fact you met him on here but they won't judge you.

You can't let him do this to other people though can you?

People do this in part because their crimes often don't get reported.

If you tell the police it's awkward, the first thing they should say is that it's still a crime and they won't judge. You may get lucky in terms of the stuff back who knows.

Not sure what else anyone can say to you other then be careful on here (and out there) obviously.

Report it. There's nothing to be lost or ashamed about, you never know, they may catch him. Is he photo verified? If so fab will have a photo of himnrjay may help to nail him.

You can actually block him from a mail thread. There is a block link on every mail that lets you counter block people even if they have blocked you already.

You can actually block him from a mail thread. There is a block link on every mail that lets you counter block people even if they have blocked you already."

And you can report him from there too, just click on the menu tab.

There's a few ways you can block him and report him too, without blocking.

x On the computer website you can report him via a Report link directly on the "blocked you" page.

x In you block list page you can add a username to, so you can block anyone from there.

There are probably other ways too.

*It looks like on the phone app you can use the Menu (3 bars) to block user, from the page where you see they have blocked you.*

You can report by copying the url of your profile and replacing his name with yours. However admin can't do anything about something that's happened away from the site.

Contact the police and they can take whatever action they deem necessary
