So… ‘fess up!

Who actually answers the door to trick or treaters?!

Do you answer with a bundle of sweets or do you hide under your beds until the scary teenagers and children go away?!

Where we live if you don't have decorations they don't knock. People post on Facebook that trick or treaters are welcome at their address too. That way kids are assured of a welcome and no elderly people get heart attacks when they answer the door to a zombie

I have barky dogs so I leave a bowl out. It's a shame cos I love seeing the happy kids in their costumes.

I decorate the house a little (ie the pumpkins me and the kids carved, a few window gel stickers and whispy spiders webs round the porch).

But yes, I have bought my stash of sweets and while my three are off trick or treating, I will be ready with the sweets for other kids.

But we live halfway up a hill and not many come past, so it will most likely my kids who will eat them

I enjoy opening the door, looking at the costumes or the lack thereof as it seems older children barely try to put together that resembles a costume, and handing out sweets.

I’ve just bought nearly 20kg of sweets a few days ago from Costco to give out on Halloween. In past years, we’ve run out in just a few hours. I feel bad once we are out of sweets and switch off the lights.

The absolute only pro of living in a flat! And living in dodgy London I guess where you never know if you may knock on a drug dealers door
