It's been great! Watching huge waves crash in the harbour. A lovely late lunch. Exploring Aberdeen and then dinner in a cosy pub.

How about you?

Also yay to being Aberdeen! Have you explored Old Aberdeen? Have you had a buttery? Have you been to Slain's castle? If it's still there it's very much your sort of pub, it's on Belmont Street.

Why am I so excited about this for you? I don't know. I am.

I have one day left and then it's the perfect start to a long weekend and I'm going to be doing my best to be nonchalant and cool.

Oh Footdee is lovely! I worked at a restaurant there for a couple of terms, Silver Darling? Old Aberdeen is the university area. Beautiful. Cobbled stones, interesting architecture. Get a buttery! You won't regret it.

We walked past that restaurant. We didn't have enough time to walk up to the University area. We really wanted to but it was a bit far from Union Square by the time we'd had a very late lunch.

"Good evening Julie and everyone on tonight's nocturnal....

I hope you have good WiFi and room service...

Good evening Ash! The WiFi is patchy but the 4G is fine. It's not a room service sort of hotel

How are you today?

I'm good thank you but very tired after a long busy day so looking forward to a good sleep tonight...

I hope you both enjoy your break away... "

It's been a work trip for B but I've had a lovely time exploring by myself

Sadly we head home tomorrow.

"Evening Julie

Evening Cookie, have you had a wonderful holiday?

Again???

Green doesn't suit you

Not had a holiday since a short trip for my son's graduation, no chance of one til this contract finishes at the beginning of Feb. Apparently Christmas is not happening - call me the Grinch ( I think he's green too)

That is rubbish February is a good time to go away if you avoid half term! "

I can avoid half term as no kids (well they're adults).

As all the adverts say, "keep away from children", so I try!

Yours with the tiny pumpkin was cute.

Ah. Naive me - I thought it was just a cute little pumpkin or model pumpkin.

To be honest, it might end up being used as a regular candle. I squeaked a lot last time we tried wax play

"Where did halloween originate "

Was it Samhain, co-opted by the Church? Or do you have a more precise answer in mind?

Does that mean we should guess Ireland? I'll go with Scotland for my guess.
