Just wondering who actually adheres to the recommended dosage instructions when putting a wash on?

Am I the only one that pours the lenor or comfort way above the maximum fill line or is more common than thought?

Hi O.P. This is such an important topic. I am glad you brought it up as I think it's vital that we get these things out in the open.

No it isn't fucking okay to put loads in ........ it's wasteful. Give me your money!

Thank you.

If you think that is wasteful, my landlord has connected the hot water supply to the washing machine. So everything is washed at 60 degrees ffs

I don't use it, so I'm happy to get cleaner clothes, rather than them coated in stuff that's probably bad for the environment

Indeed I do . I follow the instructions on the bottle and add a tidgey but more for no reason. Same as when I make a coffee. One teaspoon and a tiny bit more.

Way above the max? That's too much lenor for comfort (like those creepy ads they had).

I just put in a dribble for the scent (they are full of extra chemicals and water-resist your towels, my washes always have a towel in them it seems). pt

.

These usually aren't too hard to swap. A lot of people assume they need the hot tap but it heats water iself only when it needs to. Complete cold washing isn't bad too. pt

I measure my washing powder and I measure my fabric softener. I see no reason to waste it.

Does that stuff work? I just assumed it was snake oil and use detergent. I do like soft clothes and mostly buy Bamboo so I'm on the verge of buying some now.

I never measure it either you're supposed to just fill the cap but a pour straight into the pull out slot seems to work

"... water-resist your towels"

Damn, so it's not just me then.

For me I think it's snakeoil. It smells nice so I'll add a little for that.

This is madness! Madness I tell you!

Just fill the lid up, that’s what it’s designed for.

On the subject of washing laundry if u collect conkers peel them and steep them in boiling water! Pour of the liquid into bottle and repeat u can use it instead of washing liquid in machine as conkers have natural stain removing elements x

Mr N does the washing and uses the recommended dose. If I ever do it so do I, I can't stand strong smells on my clothes or bedding

I only use the required amount excessive use of softener clogs up the soap drawer and creates slime and smell in the machine

Try a dose of white vinegar in the fabric dispenser, it'll destiffen your towels.

Nope, I rarely use it. Hate the smell of the chemicals. I don't understand the trend of people smelling of fabric conditioner, use a nice perfume or something.

Then go down to the river and beat them off rocks and hang them on the trees to dry
