James Stewart, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Spacey.

I'm trying to guess what will be Best Film as I really liked Life of Pi and Argo and Lincoln was good too.

Giovanni Ribisi

Philip Seymour Hoffman

John Malkovich

Ralph Fiennes

I think it's often difficult to tell with the big leading name actors, quite often the main roles, oddly enough aren't such meaty parts. The real telling roles are the supporting roles and they are the ones making the leads look good A lot of the big-shots have proven themselves years ago in ineresting, well written roles but go on to be type-cast year after year in 'comfortable' roles... I always felt a little sad that there must be a whole generation of film goers who think DeNero is some comedy baffoon and have no idea of what he is actually capable of. Same with Al Pacino, he was brilliant! and has become just an over the top caricature of himself

I'll have to have a think about the ladies, the only one who really springs to mind is 'Kate Blanchet' she has such a wide range and I am always completely convinced by every role she takes on.

I can't choose four , too many that are so talented and some that play the same part other and other but are still talented lol

So I pick Edward norton. This man is an amazing actor and his films are all so very different . Also quite underrated

But some other good mentions
