Is it just me that feels that someone should have to give a return verification before they can display yours

Like ok to have it show against their account Just can’t display it

Four very nice meets over a long time that hasn’t helped show that I’m genuine and simply a real person very odd

Whilst useful, verifications only really say so much. Forcing people to verify will lead to veris thst just don’t reflect the person. I don’t display one of my veris cos it Wws left by a guy who had never met me. And I think was just chancing it to get a return veri!

We declined to meet a random guy we had chatted briefly to, and he gave us a false verification. I reported it to admin and they removed it

Feedback occurs when the sound entering a microphone is reproduced by a loudspeaker, then picked up by the microphone again and re-amplified again and again………

It’s quite unpleasant to listen too.

OP I think your best bet is either not to worry about it or just wait until you receive a veri before giving one out.

Saying that I find the disdain for veris in some of the comments odd. I can see why you want them and many find them very useful.

It would be good in the world of BDSM I tell you, these bastard doms never return the favour! "Must do better!" was the response I got when I last asked (actually to get me the veri - it wasn't even on it!). And the last time I actually got one (over on FG) the rotter used my real name!

Good job I keep them invisible anyway lol.

Most of us just don't bother though to be fair - you only need the one after all. Some people do clearly like them though, it's just up to the individuals. I never read too much into the amount of them, especially considering the rate of returning fabbers on here.

Veris actually don’t mean shit on here. I used to think they did until I came across someone who made me feel really uncomfortable. Having checked his veris I can see how many people write what they think should be written and not giving a clue about the reality of a person

Personally, I trusty my own judgement over a stranger's, they mean fuck all me.

I think everybody should have a picture of themselves holding a kitchen item, on hand to send at any given moment as and when requested

That way when you send me a picture of yourself holding a whisk, i’ll know you’re legit

OP I’d suggest pay more attention to profile than verifications. I don’t do the verification thing and don’t pay attention to others verifications. It’s not like someone will display a negative one, so it’s at best an echo chamber function.

We have only ever been left one veri and had four or five meets.

We are not loosing any sleep over it, if people don't think we are genuine they can just move on to someone elses profile.

Enough stress in life without worrying about a veri or two x

This is so true. We left someone a veri based on a first social encounter. Later social encounters with that person made me uncomfortable but there's no way to show that. Even if I had put it in a veri they simply wouldn't have displayed it.

This is so true. We left someone a veri based on a first social encounter. Later social encounters with that person made me uncomfortable but there's no way to show that. Even if I had put it in a veri they simply wouldn't have displayed it.

As with most things in life things are not black and white. Veris don't mean everything but also they don't mean shit either - there is a middle ground. They are another tool to assess compatibility and while not perfect can be useful.

Personally found them more useful in considering my activities as a couple with other couples especially arranging parties and group related things as can get a good feel for people's interests and boundaries. Not perfect but makes things a whole lot easier.
