Somewhere In The Ether…

I’d go for John Carpenter’s original classic, Halloween and then probably Wes Craven’s Scream - which self knowingly delights in poking fun at the slasher genre cliches as we have just watched

I've heard lots of good things about Ginger Snaps but never seen it, I don't think. I'll have to track it down this month.

I think I'd go with Frankenstein (the Boris Karloff version) as it's a stone cold classic, and Island Of Lost Souls because it's not as well known as it should be.

*Or*, if I'm with fellow fans of terrible films, then I'd swap Island Of Lost Souls for the 90s Island Of Dr Moreau with Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer as it's a famous disaster.

If it’s a classic evening then Halloween followed by The Exorcist.

If it’s a contemporary evening then it’s The Descent, followed by the original French version of Martyrs.

The Exocist is playing as part of the cult cinema club at the Genesis cinema in London Thursday night. In case anyone was interested in seeing horror on the big screen.

Too much of a chicken to watch any horror. Im being told that im watching some movie about a hand and u get possessed and im like nah youre grand. I can do without the psychological trauma thanks

I wouldn't dare watch that in a cinema as last time I saw it I laughed like a drain and that might not go down well...

I'm going to go for "The house of 1000 corpses" and "The Devils rejects" as Rob Zombie gets such s hard time from the critics. I'm actually about to watch his version of "Halloween" which (controversial opinion warning) IS MUCH BETTER THAN JOHN CARPENTERS
