I was led to believe(by a friends husband that tried out and failed to make the grade)that they don’t do shouting. They just quietly send you packing if your attitude or ability doesn’t fit with their standards and ideology.

Nobody is there who doesn’t want to be.

Never could apparently the fitness levels required are off the charts

I did a course where the teacher was ex sas and he was very unassuming to look at and such a lovely bloke but you just knew he could fuck you up so bad without breaking a sweat I hate to think how many poor bastards in bars made the mistake of their lives with him haha

I believe it can teach you mentally to be a lot of things. I first saw SAS it scared the living daylight out of me.

Tonight was all about trust, team work, I enjoyed seeing who had the real determination. Bit like fab swingers. Determined to get SEX, team work makes the dream work!

Oh and trust is a massive strength for many of us.

Entry is via the regulars - it's where most of the fun stuff begins, including at least 3 or 4 years conditioning and training. After that, and assuming you get and remain fit, i'm told that the challenge is predominantly mental. I'm also told it's hard work mind you.

Not necessarily. The SAS and SBS have reserves which can also be accessed through the reserve forces.

Believe me the fitness levels even in the reserve sas is very arduous and lots of free time is needed to even think about trying it

I have worked alongside such people, never a part of I would like to make very clear, and most of them have a screw or two loose. My overriding memory was that I always ended up bleeding, and that was when things went well..

Actually it’s not survival of the fittest it’s survival of the most adaptable.

Sex is not all about stamina especially when it’s conducted for the most part in the mind!

I was asked by a few X sas lads one of them an old friend, if I would join them on Everest base camp expedition about 10 years ago. Some how the MOD was funding there’s but for me I had to put up a large chunk of money to join them. Was skint at the time (good excuse)
