You know the ones …. Like pineapple doesn’t belong anywhere near a pizza (even Hawaiian people don’t claim that monstrosity)

Any… l love the uk.. I think you people are great, thanks for taking me in….

But ….. hot dogs… ketchup… just no!!!

I think I have finally built up enough credit to come out with this crime against humanity you keep committing!!!

It's not a roast dinner if you put mashed potato on the plate.

A full English doesn't involve hash browns, you can fuck off with that American council estate shit on the plate.

Burgers do not belong in a brioche bun, you may as well stick your patty in a sliced iced donut.

A little factoid, the Hawaiian pizza was invented by a Greek chao, in Canada. The reason it's called a Hawaiian is because of the brand of tinned pineapple he used. My son had to do a speech at school and came up with the idea of discussing the merits of pineapple on pizza, so that's how we know

I come at this from a slightly different angle.

The crime isn't ketchup on a hot dog, or Pineapple on a pizza.

The real crime is not experimenting with foods and being precious about "traditions"

Pizza only came about because people tried something non traditional with flat bread. There are people who believe pizza was perfected in naples 130 years ago and that there can be no deviation from that formula.

I don't eat Pineapple on my pizza but I support those who do because playing with our food is a right we won as toddlers and if we don't experiment, we cannot grow!

Cheese on a curry seems gross but what if its a step towards developing a new form of curry or cheese?

Subtly different, a little less salty. Texture is more like melted chocolate than honey.

When I was little I liked Vegemite in the plastic cheese. Now - with mature cheddar. (Vegemite chocolate was an abomination)

I wonder if you can still get Promite? More of a kiwi thing.

It's not an apple, it doesn't come from a pine tree. In most other languages it's called some variation on "ananas". All I can assume is that the guy who came up with the English name for it was an idiot.

"Nevermind pineapple (which is vile) but who on earth puts tuna on pizza

In all the exciting Latin chat, I missed this, but couldn't let it pass. Tuna on pizza is a revelation!

And pizza is obviously the only place where melted cheese is acceptable.

Tuna on pizza?!? I'll take your word for that YOLO

Literally my favourite. Not seen enough in the UK...!

It's everywhere where I am. Take it. You can have it."

I have not credited the Mancs enough for their cultured palettes...

Tuna on marinara pizza would be fine. But not the tinned muck. Proper tuna, the sort that is so fresh that a decent vet could get it swimming again. Sliced wafer thin, added for the final thirty seconds of the pizza cooking.

The Town by The Cross

To be fair to the U.K. Fabio ..... Hot Dogs are just one of the monstrosities we inherited from the USA and I think even they stole them from the Germans.

Give me the good old British Banger over a slithery , wobbly tube of minced arsehole any day.

Corn dogs ! Dear God. Death on a stick , greasy , filthy death on a stick !

Uhmmmmmmmmm in fact I cannot think of one healthy food that came out of America.... Chicken Salad ?

If I had to choose one meal to defend, it wouldn't be a U.K. favourite i'm sure.

I do love a tarka dahl or a potatoe and spinach aloo or a good buddah bowl or a treat at Wagamamas.

The world is changing for the better foodwise.

"Now that everyone is asleep, what the fuck is up with putting bacon with everything. Ew"

I think for some meat eaters, bacon is as good as they get to replace a personality.

"Ketchup on a bacon butty. So wrong. Got to be brown."

Bacon needs no enhancement... It is perfect as it is

I do like bacon (it's part of a classic 'treat' food for me - the full English when I can get one with it in it) - but I wouldn't go as far as 'perfect'! What with them nitrates (they'll be banned eventually surely). And that sickly smell you sometimes get when they're cooking! pt

Pingu does what I am about to declare is wrong, and she knows I think it is wrong but I am prepared to die on this food hill.

While other fruit based condiments, like apple or cranberry sauce, have a legitimate place, tomato sauce has no right being anywhere near a Sunday dinner. It doesn’t matter what meat you have, if you have gravy or not. Keep that particular fruity condiment away from the roast potatoes.

People are cooking bacon in this house now, as I am trying to work. Open plan living FTW

I tried praying but the holy ghost is equally unconstrained by walls here and could not keep the bacon essence away from my nose holes
