"No idea. What about you OP? Mr TMN J" I love the idea that they're sitting next to each other on the sofa exchanging these messages on here.

"Are we talking about schizophrenia? " No, just self-awareness.

"Self awareness for me is being able to self reflect being aware of fears insecurities strengths and weaknesses... recognising biases and being able to master them all through action." Being able to master them all?

"Painfully. Yet I accept that's how my brain works " What do you do with that self-awareness?

"Well... Can you? That felt ooft Yes, not infallibly no delusion of perfection whatever that may be. No expectation for others to live by my beliefs or values. Very much appreciate and learn from diversity. Self-awareness without self-acceptance can be a mindfuck." Ooft good, or ooft bad? Self-awareness without self-acceptance - good point. How do you move from one to the other?

How do you move from one to the other? " The precision, the striking to the heart of the matter. Like your last question. It's sexy in a way that makes me forget about good or bad. I moved from an external to internal locus of evaluation. I established my beliefs and values and concerned myself more with my self-respect than I did with being liked by others. That used to plague me hugely. That's not to say I do not care about others. I find the more I am self-accepting the more I care and empathise with others, even those I do not like or agree with. The people I like and who know me. What they think of me means a lot to me.

Sounds like you've done a lot of work, Hans. I get your point about accepting yourself means you are more likely to accept others. I've never framed it like that but I agree. Mrs TMN x

"yes. i hear myself clearly when something isnt right or in my best interests." That's very definite. No shades of grey? I'm not sure if I do. Sometimes I think I just don't want to see it. Mrs TMN x
