Honesty, it sometimes works in your favour swingingly and can work against you too.

Embrace your independance too, if single, just enjoy it, so often i read,, "lookin for a partner", well, been there, done that personally and for me certainly, swinging solo is and has been the best fun.

like yourself, be as kind to animals and people as you can and dont take them for granted because you may regret it one day.

dont be a doormat.

dont feel you have to be like everyone else.

dont expect things to go the way you want them too, then you wont be so disapointed.

I'll never grow up, and I'll never grow old, blame it on my love of rock and roll!!!

Sorry, was singing along to that whilst I read the thread. Seemed apt!!!

On a more serious note, I'd rather be hated for telling the truth, then liked for living a lie.

And a good bottle of Russian Vodka for when things go tits up!!

A family member once said to be able to forgive someone is one of the greatest and hardest things for a person to do. Was listening to a article about a lady that forgave a driver that had caused the death if her husband. She asked the court to go lightly on the driver. I am sure I could not forgive so easy. The lady made me feel very humble

I guess we never know how we would feel if something affected us personally - but it makes me feel humble, too.
