Hey guys, I know the word FAT might not sound great, but I really want to reach out to all the big, curvy people out there. There's way too much body shaming on this site and too many people hiding behind fake profiles. I want you to feel confident in your own skin and remember that there are people who find larger sizes attractive and hot. Don't let those judgmental jerks bring you down. You're not as fat as you think, so stop comparing yourself to those unrealistic beauty standards. Trust me, there are way too many guys out there feeling insecure because of this toxic social pattern. Be proud of who you are because you're gorgeous, sexy, and perfect just the way you are. Lots of love, A x

"You used the F word.

"

In all seriousness.

It's a good cause but if you really want to promote positive body image.

Then just say be proud of what you look like regardless of size.

You know because I have known plenty of really thin people who hate the way they look.

It's always good to promote positive body image alongside mindfulness and understanding.

La la land

Some people just go out of their way to be mean. That's kinda of up to them I can't stop them. Others telling me I should feel rubbish cause of the idiots doesn't really work for me. But I tell you what does, and it's seeing others with my body type rock the way they look with confidence. And that's what does make Fab a pretty good place to be sometimes

Give the lad a break and look at the beauty of the post….people will see offensive tones in anything nowadays!!

OP….thank you and I for one like what you have written…..do I feel those words you’ve said….nope….but I don’t let it bring me down where it impacts on my mental state!!

I’m not hung up on my body but I do hate the fact that I can never get away with wearing muscle fit clothing so yes I’m fat….but I really don’t want to be

So why reclaim it then? Seems pointless calling something “reclaimed” if it’s still gonna offend a bunch of people

Fat does have a particularly sharp sound to it though

There are quite a lot of posts on a regular basis regarding BBW, curvy figures OP, that often have offensive comments towards slender women.

Body shaming either way is wrong, and shouldn't be tolerated.

Dear people. The post wasn’t meant to offence, and actually was meant to bring awareness of the exact thing. Fat is not a bad word, and yes, people get offended beyond easy these days. Is full fat yogurt a word that should be banned now? Fat is the colloquialism to a larger person. Yes other terms could be used but then the meaning of this post would be different. This post was meant to empower people to feel comfortable in their own body indifferently of the size or the word. To feel empowered and not feel offended only because society and social media thought us to hate a word. Fat is beautiful. Another example, why is skinny a good word and fat a bad word, how many people in this word live with anorexia, and some of the people here find them sexy. Why one extreme is acceptable and the other not. Please feel confident in your body indifferently of the word. Peace and love to all of you gorgeous people.

Are you alright pal, you seem you need some comforting. Don’t believe many care what you find beautiful and it can be observed by the obsession to making your opinion visible, make loud and clear what is in your own beliefs correct. You fail understanding the meaning of this post, changing its meaning and coming here making it personal and give unsolicited opinions on what YOU think is right.

You don’t like fat people, move on, don’t be a opinionated bully.

I'm not proud to be fat. I imagine it's a rare thing to find an obese person that's proud of their overweight condition. I did just enjoy the two donuts I ate and I'm not going to hide my body if someone finds me attractive though.

I get that it's supposed to be an uplifting post, just poor wording imo.

And on the flip side, the amount of people that slim shame women in response to these threads is also quite sad.

"I'm not proud to be fat.

I find your body awesome "

You don't own any plants. I had to kick you off my hotlist. Soz!

I’m sorry if this upset a couple of yous. The poor wording as stated might have made it sound negative. The intention of this was to make people not feel offended by words or size. Be confident in their own body and proud of being who they are. Many decided to make it personal and change my words towards what they believe , others attacked me personally in DMs. To make this clear. This was meant to make people love their own body indifferently of the size. It was triggered by the fact I been often told in chats that other members of the group been bullying and fat shaming people. It made me realise that loads of members on here are shy to express themselves because a bunch of self entitled opinionated people decide giving their unsolicited opinion upon what a person should look like and what’s correct and what’s healthy. We are all beautiful, we are all sexy. And there are loads of larger people who are healthy and fine despite their slightly larger body.

This comes across very white knighting given you're not remotely fat.

Also, plenty of us are as fat as we think and we should absolutely lose some weight and that it's perfectly reasonable for people not to find us attractive.

If I told anyone I was happy with my weight and body size etc I'd expect them to laugh in my face. I however am very happy in myself and I'm very content in life. I think you might be confused.

"I am here today to talk 'fat', people. How many of you here know it's fat awareness week? I'm just imagining a seminar lol.

I'm not so sure skinny is that often positive a word tbh, I've heard it used in loads of negative ways I think I listed some fairly recently (people's weight is brought up all the time on Fab, we've just had a little probably much-needed break from it). pt

I understand you need affirmation, however why do you feel the need to be toxic and debate. You could be kind and supporting or move on.

"

Affirmation for what? You're being over sensitive and defensive, I'm not toxic I'm just having a laugh and pointing out some silliness. You can't really dictate the debate just because you made the thread, it doesn't work like that.

I'm fat... I am good with myself as I try to keep active and eat properly but I am not proud of being fat... That's just weird and really unhealthy... Also, it's nobody elses business and I don't care how they feel about my fatness... Body positivity is an individual thing and nobody else needs to like it or care about it... Also, I prefer men that fancy me because they find me attractive, not because they find fat women attractive... What if I lose weight?

Sorry you've been take to dm by ppl, but that does happen sometimes. But look at those last 5 words even^. It's overkill, they weren't needed! It's like you're labouring on any excess blubber. It's just a bit of humour for a lot of people. Some can get upset too, but you can't really argue with that. Thin people shouting "Be FAT and Proud!" on behalf of poor fat people? It's really not needed and it just doesn't work lol pt

I like large guys, and I am upset when sweet guys are being laughed in the face by others. That’s not right, the effects of it on longer term is not ok. Mental health is important

Honestly, I think it's easier to slip in sometimes. Going for bigger hits harder I think, but neither is good obviously. I've seen skinny kind-of mean over-zealous, boring, arrogant, unhealthy, even b*tch. It's never really a positive term.

Are they as sweet as all the honey they eat?

Isn't such perceived ebullience a bit of a cliche?

Mate, no larger people are laughed at 'in the face' on Fab! You've just got an idea of something that isn't there. The mods are on such things pretty quickly these days if anything is ever that bad.

My own sexual preference lately is actually for larger older men (they are not always that sweet though I have to say lol).. I just find it all a bit silly.

Mental Health is certainly important, which is why we need to just accept each other and try not to objectify people at all. Championing can be a bit like controlling sometimes, and not everyone wants that.

I do accept that you are genuinely trying to help people here though.

Mental health is a self thing. Someone on a fab forum telling me I shouldn't be depressed because I'm obese ain't gonna help.

As it happens I'm exceptionally happy with my life despite being fat. But I'd never say I shouldn't lose weight or that my weight is "ok".

I am fat and prefer people to use the word fat instead of stumbling over words to use to make themselves feel better.

chubby ,well made, larger person etc because when they use them words in most cases you know first word that came into their mind was fat.

I'm fat. I don't love it. I really don't like how my body looks like a melted candle, especially below the waist. I lost 3kg this past week through illness but I can't see that it's been lost from the actual fat bits. It just feels like I lost my gainz on my upper body

"Hey guys, I know the word FAT might not sound great, but I really want to reach out to all the big, curvy people out there.

Thank you for your sensitivity. Who are you and why do you think that I have a problem with how I look? This might have been a bit more real if you had kept it all in the first person. Lets hear about your struggle with being fat and the impact it has had on your emotional wellbeing.

Nobody spoke about you personally my darling. Wrong place to seeking attention and making this post yours. All the love x "

Wasn't really the point I was making
