I’m looking to get some basic camera equipment for filming my sub fuck buddy getting used by me and others.

I have no experience in filming or camera technology and don’t want to spend a fortune, I’m thinking camera and stand to start with. Are GoPro’s ok for this?

What do people suggest?

GoPro and action cameras in general tend to have quiet a wide filming angle that isn't that flattering and can make keeping faces out of shot difficult (if that is wanted).

Depending on your mobile phone you may find that the cameras on that would actually be better. It your wanting to get stabilised handheld footage spending the money on a gimbal mount for this may be something to consider (Something like the DJI Osmo and Insta360 flow). If you just want static shots maybe a monopod (here I can recommend the Best360 one, having weighted bases really helps avoid them toppling over all the time) and a phone mount.
