Are you one of those people that like to treat themselves? Or do you not and treat everyone else 1st?

I rarely do it, kids and all that I never get anything for myself but I have recently and it just goes wrong - do I ordered a signed copy of my favourite book, I felt bad ordering something for myself because well I'm weird like that & the postman arrived with an empty box he told me to refuse the delivery.

A few months back I treated myself to some new clothes, I'd put on a few lbs and thought I need them, again buyers guilt kicked in I'm not used to spending on me and a month later they don't fit one pair got torn within the week.

Am I just cursed because I chose me for a change!

I think thats just bad luck rather than a curse.

I used to feel guilty about treating myself. I rarely did when my boys were small. There was never any spare funds to be able to either.

Now though, it's easier. They are older and I work so much and so hard that I feel like I need to.

There's also no one else who is going to in my life.

Mum guilt is a terrible affliction but honestly it does get easier x

Aw your not cursed bad luck with the book hope you've received it since.

I never used to cause I used to always buy for the house or my son.

Occasionally I like to treat myself now.

I even like it.

.

I'm not great at it. I'll happily spend not just money (because some of the best gifts I've given haven't cost much at all) but time as well on others. Making others happy brings me a lot of joy but I do feel a lot of guilt about spending money and time on myself.

I think it's because of my upbringing. Right now I really need new clothes in my correct size. I feel bad buying them so sticking to Vinted.

You should treat yo'self OP. Start with the little things and even if it doesn't go exactly to plan; you're still making time for you.

I’m a bit like that , I love treating everyone else and look due excuses to and feels much better than spending money on me.

But I do like to shop too but I tell myself if it’s guitars: lenses or gold it’s not really spending it’s temp swapping and hopefully growing new money

Well done for centering yourself - you’re definitely on the right footing. As for things ‘going wrong’, nothing is actually going wrong. You’re resetting your youniverse a little. These things that look like mishaps are all part of the transitional period and things will settle
