I think that it depends what kind of dare it is, but other wise I think that a should be a bit romantic, put the wine in the fridge and put on some candles

Hell yes. Isn’t that what dating’s all about, finding a potential romantic partner?

Otherwise it’s just a meet/social

If there’s no romance then it’s not a date it’s just an outing.

Nope, it should be fun. I don't want her dressing me up in a feather boa, combing my hair, painting my nails or feeding me twiglets

Depends what you mean by “date”

Every date with a partner should be romantic

But if we mean date as in dating, 1st 2nd date kinda stuff then no. First few dates are to figure out if you want to be romantic, and receive romantic treat, from that person

Yes, you are right there and that is what dating is all about for a romantic partner

Romance isn't about clichés.

There can be romance in a single moment in am unlikely place too.

I'm all for romance though x

"Romance isn't about clichés.

"

Indeed.

The thing is romance is personal and unique between people. What may be romantic between me and my partner may be different for you and yours. Or even multiple partners.

So yes, if it's a date it should be romantic, it's about showing interest and attraction just as much as it is about showing love. But again it's not always just about candlelight dinners, roses, walks on the beach and all that other cliché stuff.

It depends on what you both interpret as romantic. The mood. The dynamic. You don't need candlelit meals to have a romantic date. A fun one.

Unless its a ziplining through the trees type of date, a bit of romance with a candle doesn't go amiss.

Having your version of romantic running sounds like a wise move. It can be a good part of respective partners getting to know each other

First dates should be fun rather than romantic. The third date onwards can up the smooch levels a bit.

Depends first on the people going on the date. Romance comes from feelings where not everyone displays their feelings and some even struggle with that

Secondly if it's a first date I wouldn't say it should be romantic get to know the person first

Thirdly when a rapport has been established and all are on the same page then yeah why not make the following dates romantic and lastly not everyone even likes romantic when it's purposefully done, there's different levels of romance and some levels is too much for some people. Some types of romance is cheesy and cringey for some

That's my perspective on that

Lives in Preston, Eng

Romance can be in anything I am doing with someone I am romantically interested in. Washing the dishes with my ex could be romantic. Although it could also be bloody annoying.

But a lack of romance on a date doesn't necessarily mean a lack of excitement or passion.

Romance is so personal though, depending on people’s love languages/styles.

Not everything romantic has to be candlelit dinners, roses, champagne and bubble baths

I do miss a bit of romance though x
