I've got something to tell ya

I've got something to say

I chickened out and let myself down this morning

Even Billy didn't help get myself in a mental state to leave the house.

My question is...

When faced with a challenge how do you prepare/ face it/ psych yourself up for it?

Faced with a challenge or situation that makes me anxious I don’t focus on what could go wrong I focus on what what my options would be if they did. Know your exits, is my advice.

Embrace the suck.

“Embrace the suck” means that while the current situation sucks, you have to accept it and work toward changing it. It's not about being in-denial, as much as accepting present discomfort for future success. To embrace the suck means to confront things that make you uncomfortable so that you can surmount it.

I don’t give myself time to think, or overanalyse it.

I dive right in, and get my hands dirty. Time given to think just starts to put those devils on your shoulder, demons in the head, etc.

Manchester-ish

Hugs SS. Next time!

I prepare by overpreparing a ridiculous amount. I make *all* the lists. I do mental run throughs (sometimes positive, sometimes catastrophic) and I have stress dreams. Do not prepare like me

Just change should to could. You should have gone out changes to could have gone out, less guilt and less pressure on yourself

"Aggressively masturbate to the rocky theme tune.. can face anything after that."

Or you end up lying crumpled, out of breath, in a heap, and a puddle on the bed, too exhausted to do anything, so you just pull the duvet over your head and pretend that the world will go away
